T O P I C R E V I E WthequeenYour scintillating albedo, enters my soul, Pouring your smell, splendid in dole,Love’s act of mime, in shadowy cloud,My soul speaks lie, seeking you aloud,Dreary your play, tests my patience,Your shadow forwards, your eclipsing cadence, Veiling the glow, you disguise your presence, I advance my hand, you smirk in offence, And calmly proclaim, of your filthy crime,I trust your deception, but every time,You come my love, yet to leave,My soul misses you, and floods to bereave,I am a dead lover of your dreams,Your fragrant voice, and breath’s breeze,But you transform, so many shapes,In my love, your shadow is draped,Your shadow comes along, denying my existence, Yet making me alive, and blessing my essence.AyeletI would like to understand better the word "albedo". I looked for it and found: "the ratio of reflected to incident light". Could you explain it to me please? It is interesting, as your love's object, or may I say subject?, is veiling himself in shadow and deception. Yet in the beginning it is you who deceive: "My soul speaks lie". Is it in order to match yourself to him ("Seeking you aloud")? And you accept patiently his deception, therefore turning into a "dead lover" of his dreams. But his dreams revive you. Altogether a very interesting piece.thequeenThe word albedo to put it in layman's term means the glow on your face. No, I didn't deceive him, I was just seeking lies to unravel his reality. Yes I accept the deception even after knowing the lies because even the false presence brings me to life. Thanks for reading. Hope I could explain it to you.AyeletYes, you explained it well.PearltyNeat title and word 'albedo' rarely heard- if at all in a daily context. Outstanding poem, your words always flow exceptionally well, a pleasure to read. mirage29 quote:Originally posted by Pearlty:Outstanding poem, your words always flow exceptionally well, a pleasure to read. ^ I agree!! I remember the word 'albedo' from the meteorology course I took in college. Of course for them, it had to do with light pollution in the night sky-- the dome like atmosphere/shine around a city from all the street and building lights.Laughing... There's a stellium of planets and the nodes in Virgo right now (and for a while to come). Expect everyone's Virgo detail-orientations to show up on steroids here for a while~~.
