maklhouf | A couple of other things happened the day Bush won the election. A pity if they should go unnoticed. Hungary announced that it is following Spain's example and pulling out of the Coalition. Two large charities, Care International and Medecins Sans Frontieres are also pulling out as they can no longer guarantee the safety of their personnel. ------------------ To live outside the law you must be honest. 26taurus | Very interesting maklhouf...... |
LibraSparkle | Not that your post is funny... but... Cheese-eating Surrender Monkeys is hilarious!!! |
Mirandee | Yes, I read about this. Hungary didn't have that many troops in Iraq anyway. I guess they could see where this all was headed and Osama bin Laden did say in his video that any country that gets out of Iraq would be safe. I can see why the relief people left. No safety at all is provided in Iraq. I guess they wanted to keep their heads. Who can blame them? |
maklhouf | Sorry i can't take credit for the "funny" title. That was your President, referring to some sensible French people. ------------------ To live outside the law you must be honest. Bob Dylan |
TINK | Did Bush really say that about the French? Hmmmm. Suddenly I have a smidgen of newfound respect for the moron. Still waiting patiently for Jwhop to post something fun about the Ivory Coast. |
maklhouf | Just had to step back and tease the meaning out of that, TINK. I suppose it's one way to win friends and influence people. There's a number of differences between what the French are doing in Ivory Coast, compared with "America against The World". For one thing, the French got the backing of the U.N. I don't hold any breif for them, preferring myself, the peoples of the French-speaking diaspora. If the French are in the wrong on this occasion, how many wrongs are supposed to make a right? |
TINK | "win friends and influence people" funny! |
