Petron | rush limbaugh said (a couple days ago) they expect an 80% voter turnout for the elections, i'm hoping he's right |
proxieme | http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/4201561.stm All of the views expressed are interesting, especially those of the few Iraqis who've posted. |

proxieme | Yeah. I mean, ya'll know that I am far from a fan of Bush and his Admin, but I *am* happy to see that the election went so well. |
TINK | The usual questions ... Should we be there? Can we leave now? Are the elections fair? Are the elections fixed? Are we setting up a puppet regime? blah, blah, blah ... how these nagging doubts fall silent in the face of the bravery of those Iraqis who voted today. Such defiant courage! God bless them. |

Lost Leo | BBC is the ONLY New Publication to negatively cover the Iraq Vote and it's ASTOUNDING SUCCESS! EVEN Bush's biggest press enemy, the New York Times, reportedly it positively. The FACT that you, Proxieme, chose this publication to represent to Vote proves that you are unfortunately, like Bill O'Reilly would say, utterly blinded by your idealogical biased. It's truly sad when you have to try to tear down something as historic as this event. I hope one day, you mature and your hatred turns to love. Good day to you. |
proxieme | Actually, both of the links that I put up showed both positive and negative sides...and the Iraqi views that I mentioned being "especially interesting" were overwhelmingly positive and proud of their election. I pray that someday you, Lost Leo, actually click on the links that are put up. |
Eleanore | *** Yeah, proxieme, it was nice to see the Iraqi people speak about this election candidly. Whether their comments were positive or negative isn't the point to me. I appreciate being able to hear the people most affected by this speak their own opinions freely. It can't be helped that some people will have hope for something better and that others believe things will never change. They're human. Their feelings are a reflection of the lives they've lived. How can you judge them negatively on it, or judge someone else negatively for sharing it? /boggle ------------------ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi |
Atlantic Myst | I think all iraqis love bush after all he did send soldiers there not only to remove saddam the murderer but to run over there children with tanks and kill innocent by standers. Yes I am sure they love him. ------------------ ~*~ Cusp: Gemini/Cancer, Cancer rising, Taurus moon ~*~ Let's go...
