Solane Star | Missing you in FFA. OH! No! did I post in the wrong thread. LOL Solane Star
|
jwhop | Hehehe, how did you find your way down here to the basement? |
Solane Star | You know that I have been here before, but your otherside scared me away! Back up to the main level. Just missed you, thats all. |
Solane Star | You know I used to live in Ft.Lauerdale Florida when I was a little girl. Boy it seems a life time away now. |
jwhop | Who knows what Eee-Vil lurks in the heart of man? Da Shadow knows! Ft.Lauerdale...Spring Break city We get our share of tourists and kids on Spring break too...from Clearwater Beach to Treasure Island. Thanks God, they've mostly gone home now and once again, I can actually drive on Gulf Blvd...without someone stopping in the fast lane to look at the beach. |
jwhop | Maderia Beach...a sleepy little village in my corner of Paradise.
|
Solane Star | It looks very beautiful their, great pics. |
Solane Star | My Stepdad had bought a Motel there and we were depoted back to Canada when I was 10 years old. Didn't understand much about immigration at the time, but he didn't have a working visa to live and buy. Oh well it was a great time when I did live there. |
jwhop | How odd, I didn't know Canadians needed a visa to enter or stay in the US. I do know Canadians have to return home every 6 months or so to keep their free healthcare. |
Solane Star | Yes,way true!!! They come in their black suits to the Coconut Court Motel, that was it's name back then before he changed it. They came and I was roller skating at the car wash next store.I still love that song til today. ( Working at The Car Wash)It was right on Federal Highway, the one that takes you right to Miami, I Think, if I remember correctly? It take him 2 years with others watching the Motel for him, before he could return. He returned to Flordia without as. It was my Mom's Sugar Daddy! I remember my Sunny Christmas's with palm trees and swimming, it was so beautiful. The innocense of a young child at heart I guess? Those Were The Days!!!
Never really travelled far from home. East Coast, West coast and Flordia. Wow!!!
Solane Star |
jwhop | Well, there have been some changes in the Coconut Grove area of Miami since those days. Did they have those huge Banyan trees in the streets of Coral Gables when you were there?I seldom go further south than Boca and seldom that far south. But I do have some family members living in the West Palm Beach area. |
Solane Star | Thanks for the B-Day Wishes jwhop!!! Your a great guy!!! Solane Star

Randall | The basement? ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll |
