BornUnderDioscuri | If Saudi Arabia forbids anyone with an Israeli visa, or an Israeli passport from entering the state, what about Israeli Arabs who are considered and consider themselves Israeli citizens but are of Muslim religion. Does that mean they are banned from doing the Hajj? And if so does Saudi Arabia have such a right? |
lioneye68 | Good questions. However, I think many leaders of the Muslims world tend to be intolerant to the extreme, so I doubt they worry about the people who are exceptions. The whole world will go that way soon - so it will come back full circle. In the words of the immortal John Lennon - all we need is love. |
BornUnderDioscuri | I agree with Lennon, Lioneye. But this is a thought that really concerned me, i mean thats way tooextreme even for them. Plus they have no right to ban a Muslim from going through with the Hajj irrispective his/her political beliefs. Thats one of the Pillars, not even Shari'ah and i doubt Saudi Arabia could be that brazen. I was just wondering if they get around it somehow. |
Xodian | Not at all. No Muslim if he happens to be a citizen of Israel, or anywhere is banned from Hajj. Hajj is a sacred Pilgrimage that isn't denied to any Muslim. So I doubt an Israeli Passport will deny you a passage to Makkah if you are Muslim. |
BornUnderDioscuri | Okay thats very very good to hear. Because I know some Muslim countries wont allow and Israeli passport in and Saudi is one of them. Now the question would be how would they test if someone is Muslim or not. SGA said they make the person utter the shahada so that makes sense. Hmm thanks for your reply |
Xodian | Well if they have just recently converted, its hard to find background proof as to if they are truly Muslims or not. However, if any of their family members have had the opportunity to go perform Hajj in the past, they will have records of their visit to Makkah and Medina . |
BornUnderDioscuri | Really? They keep records? How awesome. I hear its a beautiful, beautiful place. Lol my sun in the 9th house is fascvinated |
Xodian | Oh sure! Its all part of the Ministry of Hajj and Ummrah's responsibility to keep track of all Haji's for the purpose of keeping track of them incase of emergency situations and if they need to be flown back home. Oh it is quite beautiful . The two Grand Mosques are a show case of Islamic Architecture at its finest. It just takes your breath away. |
BornUnderDioscuri | Oh man i definately do want to go, its on my priorities list to go to every holy place on earth. Its one of those "to do before i die" things. |
