Randall | Today in class, we studied the court case that failed to strike Obamacare down. I learned some very interesting information. The Dems in the hated it. It was NEVER intended to become law. It was supposed to go back and forth between House and Senate, which means today's version would have been unrecognizable. They had 60 votes, so they avoided a filibuster. But then a crucial pivot happened--Kennedy (the Dems' leader) died. In a special election, a Republican was elected to take Kennedy's seat. The Dems said they didn't want that crap (Obamacare), but it was this or nothing. The rest is history. |
iQ | Cassidy Bill voting failed to occur. Obamacare to stay. |
Randall | It's going to be revisited after tax reform. |
Node | How? |
Randall | Deals. |
Node | Great response as always/ got a clue as to the deals? No, you don't. |
Randall | I never claimed I did. I merely said it was going to be revisited. Obviously, reconciliation is off the table, so do the math. |
Catalina | Here is one response to the continuing failure to gut ACA.. start making it better. Once again i post not for the opinion of the writer but the facts and quotes from people involved http://verifiedpolitics.com/senate-just-quietly-expanded-obamacare-medicare-programs-humiliating-repeal-defeat/ |

The time frame for the revisit on repealing and replacing ObamaCare is Feb, March or April...2018. |
Randall | Thanks for the info, Jwhop! |
Catalina | Finally, some honesty http://theintercept.com/2017/09/27/lindsey-graham-on-obamacare-repeal-i-h ad-no-idea-what-i-was-doing/ |
