Randall | Yours are. Very low rated television. A lot like the NFL. And the blue states in the 2016 election. |
Node | The NFL is low rated television? LOL |
Randall | The NFL's ratings have dropped since this all began, but Sunday's game was the lowest rated Sunday ratings in years. DirectTV is allowing subscribers cancel their football package with no penalty if they cite the anthem as their reason. |

Randall | No, ratings are politically neutral. Are you so out of touch that you don't believe ratings are dropping? |
Randall | Sunday was the lowest week three ratings since 2006. However, on Monday ratings saw a spike upward. People were probably curious as to how many would kneel. Then they took to burning their prized jerseys and other memorabilia on social media. The Emmys also saw the second worse ratings of all time. Can you guess why? |

juniperb | NFL TV ratings rise 3 percent in Week 3 after President Trump calls for viewer boycott
quote: President Donald Trump's call for TV viewers to boycott NFL game telecasts appears to have backfired. Total ratings for Week 3 games increased 3 percent from the same period last season. The bump occurred after Trump said Friday at a rally in Alabama that NFL team owners should fire players who protest racial inequality during the national anthem. Trump used the phrase "son of a ***** " to describe such players. Some game windows posted double-digit ratings increases, and NFL Network's pregame show grabbed its biggest TV audience ever. Of course, this was just one one week in a long season, and overall NFL ratings did drop 8 percent last year. The U.S. presidential election, lousy games and the backlash from Colin Kaepernick's protests are cited as reasons for the decline. STEELE: NFL unites in missing the point with latest displays Two sets of fans are claiming to boycott the league: the #BoycottNFL crowd, which is enraged the league allowed Kaepernick's on-field protest for racial justice last season, and the #NoKaepernickNoNFL fans, who vow not to watch another game until the ex-49ers quarterback lands a job.

juniperb | quote: — ESPN said its telecast of the Cowboys' 28-17 win over the Cardinals on Monday night drew a 9.3 rating, a 63 percent increase from Falcons-Saints in 2016. — CBS's late-afternoon window, featuring the Packers' 27-24 overtime victory over the Bengals and the Chiefs-Chargers game, was the highest-rated NFL game on any network in Week 3 with an average overnight metered-market household rating/share of 13.8/27. Those figures were down 1 percent from last year’s 13.9/26 in Week 3. — CBS's "The NFL Today" scored a 3.2 rating, a 33 percent boost from Week 3 last season and the show's best number since 2010. — NFL Network's "GameDay Morning" posted the most watched-episode in the show's 10-year history, averaging 927,000 viewers. That was huge for the cable show, which has to battle against established broadcast competitors such as "Fox NFL Sunday" and "The NFL Today." — Fox's "NFL Kickoff" averaged 1.625 million viewers, a 39 percent increase from last year, network spokesman Eddie Motl told Sporting News. The show also beat ESPN's "NFL Countdown" in the 11 a.m.-to-noon ET period by 12 percent, Motl said. The "Fox NFL Sunday" pregame show was up 1 percent from Week 3 last year. — The news was not all good for NFL TV partners. Ratings for NBC's "Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Redskins' win over the Raiders declined 10 percent from last season. Fox's early singleheader window led by Giants-Eagles averaged a 9.2 rating, a 19 percent drop from last year's rating for the same weekend

Rude.

Randall | I already told you it spiked upward on Monday. Ratings had been on a downward trend for a while due to Kapernut. If you had a modicum of search initiative, you would easily see that I was right about Sunday. Shall I post it? Must I? Really? Pick your poison. I'll just post the first result of many. Also, ratings on Monday night dropped at an all-time low a year ago. Wonder why? |
Randall | Sunday night's nationally televised game between the Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders on NBC was the lowest-rated Week 3 game since 2006, according to Nielsen Media Research. Overall, the Redskins 27-10 victory was down 9 percent compared to last week's matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons, and 11 percent when compared to last year's Week 3 Sunday night game on NBC. The afternoon games also didn't fare well, with Fox's national game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles down 16 percent from the featured game in Week 3 last season on the network. CBS's national game at 4:25 p.m. ET, an overtime thriller featuring the Green Bay Packers comeback over the Cincinnati Bengals, was down just 1 percent when compared with 2016's Week 3. "NFL attendance and ratings are WAY DOWN," President Trump tweeted Sunday morning. "Boring games yes, but many stay away because they love our country. League should back U.S." Approximately 180 players didn't stand for the anthem during Sunday's games. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks did not leave their respective locker rooms for the national anthem. Steelers lineman Alejandro Villanueva was the only Steelers player to come out of the locker room before his team faced the Bears in Chicago. Villanueva served three tours in Afghanistan as an Army ranger. Sales of his No. 76 jersey dramatically spiked online on Sunday and Monday. http://thehill.com/homenews/media/352327-nbc-sunday-night-football-ratings-lowest-for-week-3-since-2006 |

Gee, I gave you every hint possible and you still blew it big time. That's from an Associated Press story...notice that in the headline? And, that Associated Press story QUOTES Neilson Ratings. Yet, you couldn't help yourself, you had to make it a story from a hated media source. So much for your powers of observation. NOT! |
Catalina | Selective statistics. Minus,Sundays -sundays!!- and not reflecting an uptick in the 3rd week. |
Randall | Another important feature not mentioned is the ability of businesses to write off deductions in the same year (instead of depreciating them over time), which strongly encourages more of the same (investments into the business). |
