Blind writerI feel like this is something that ought to be put up for a vote, instead of decided arbitrarily by one person or even a council. There are so many issues with this idea, and the ones most affected should have a say over this kind of change. Insurance for everything (car, home, business) will skyrocket. Businesses will have a mass exodus. People will move away. The overwhelming majority of Americans (90%) don’t want the police force reduced, and a third want even more police. I think a local vote would reflect that. Most people would agree with some form of reform, but defunding or outright abolishing the police, as some far left media is suggesting, is wildly unpopular.juniperbAmen Blind writer ------------------Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.Linda GoodmanRandallNine out of the 12 city council members support dismantling the police department.jwhop quote:Originally posted by Randall:Nine out of the 12 city council members support dismantling the police department. If that doesn't get those idiots thrown out of office, nothing will.RandallEspecially after the complete decimation of the city.shuraCNNCamarota: What if in the middle of the night my home is broken into.
