Randall | This bill does nothing but throw more money at the FDA with no plan to fix the problem. |
Belage | At the risk of sounding insensitive and out of touch, why can't parents make their own baby formula to give their children? Baby formulas weren''t introduced before 1865, so how did humanity survive without baby formulas before? Most baby formula have a milk based, whether cow or soy, then a few other things are added. The American Pediatric Association ought to come up with DIY ideas for homemade baby formulas, instead of perpetuating needless dependency on lab made food.

Randall | Most mothers used to breast feed back then. Formula needs to have certain nutrients in it for proper brain development--such as DHA. |

"the money would pay for additional U.S. Food and Drug Administration staffing to boost inspection of formula at domestic and foreign suppliers, prevent fraudulent products getting onto store shelves and improve data collection on the infant formula marketplace. Producing more government jobs....we have way too many now...isn't going to produce one additional can of baby formula. |
Randall | It was also just a cheap political move for votes because the public outrage is getting so loud. |
