T O P I C R E V I E WValusWhy So Many Are SickMilton Mills MD puts it all together -- how the real enemy of America is not Osama, and how meat can cause behavioral problems in children. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebOTxkpRGWg aka KatI wish he would not have made the God vs. Satan story.God made veggies and Satan made potato chips? Not Not NotHumans need to learn to be responsible. Not I ate a bucket of ice cream because Satan designed it. Yes I'm sure he intended it as a joke, but I've learned that people really think like this. Our conciousness is focused on fast right now and that's what we our getting. Focus on nutrition an quality foods and you could get that too. My screw ups nutritionally are mine. I could learn to prepare healthier foods rather than grab something fast. The enemy is not Ronald McDonald it's US -our lazy human nature looking for comfort and the easy way out.Valusum, yeah, i dont think he was saying that. I think he is saying that the choice is ours, but that we can choose god or satan, and the potato chips would be on the side of satan. the choice is yours. he's just letting you know that one is good and the other bad. at least, thats how i saw it.katatonicare you familiar with lester levinson, valus? aka KatI understand it is our choice as well. I guess your not familiar with some of the fundamentalist Christian views. I still wish he would have left God vs the devil out of it.Valusthis guy, katatonic? Lester Levenson i'll check him out, thanks. aka Kat, If it makes you uncomfortable, you have a choice: either dismiss it and find something more sympathetic to your traumatic "familiarity" with fundamentalism, -- or, try to overlook it, and take what you can from the piece. I was raised in an environment where frightening and dogmatic perversions of the Christian teaching were not plastered on billboards, so, it's fairly easy for me not to get snagged on Christian symbolism. I have at least one friend, though, who was raised Catholic, and the experience was so off-putting to her that she has difficulty letting any spirituality at all into her life. Even the word "God" can pose a stumbling block for her. She finds what works for her (zen, mostly), but it's unfortuneate, I think, that she misses out on so many things that are ultimately good, just because of the negative associations surrounding the way those good things are presented. katatonicwell apparently the usda has approved meat byproducts treated with ammonia for human consumption now..you know the stuff they used to save for dogmeat?!so ground meat is suspect now, especially in 1) fast food restaurants and 2) SCHOOL LUNCHES!!!!the FFRs are so polluted i avoid them anyway. meat or no meat. but school lunches? and it does NOT say ammonia on the label because it is a "processing agent" not an ingredient apparently.they are such devious crims!
