T O P I C R E V I E WAstro keenOr to de-link with someone. Basically, a meditation to do the same job as EFT. Has anyone tried these or know of one? I imagine cutting cords would be involved as well as forgiveness.Heartbreak would be very much lessened or at least a return to sanity would be hastened if one could use self-healing techniques.VioletsEdit.I was going to offer up what I do in such situations, but I really don't have any specific meditation practices that I use. Focusing your energy on severing negative connections is always a good place to start though, so you're already halfway there, right?I think that sometimes these things can really take a while as well. We have to be willing to let go of those connections, or energies that cause us to be bound to another person. Until we're willing and ready to release those energies, they tend to stay put. But if you're tired of being tethered to someone energetically, I truly believe that you've accomplished most of the work already.Best wishes. <Re-edit> I'm trying really hard not to sound like a know-it-all, or like I'm shoving advice at you, but it still feels like that's how it might come across. Side note: I am not a sage or a guru, ha. Just tossing stuff out there.TwirlAre you looking for cord cutting ones, Astrokeen? I think they work really well. I agree they have to be repeated daily in the beginning. You can send me a mail if you want to tell me what you are looking for. I'll send you those then, okay? VioletsSorry, AK I hadn't read your other posts before I posted here. I see that you're probably looking for something specific. While I had someone to help me with a lot of my energy releasing initially, I mostly tend to listen to Hindu mantras and burn sage when I want to release energy or cut energetic ties. The Gayatri mantra always feels really good to me, especially if I burn sage while I'm doing it. But that's just sort of to generally clear negative energy, really.I often repeat "I wish to sever all negative connections with __________, please remove all connections between this person and myself". I visualize the severing of energetic ties, and ask that all negative energy be taken by my guides, angels, or whomever you feel close to spiritually.I like to stick with simple things that I can do myself without much hassle, and this seems to work for the most part. Karmic ties I'm not so sure of. I've felt them get cut when I was ready to allow them to be, at least those that seemed binding in this life. I don't know what to say about the next one. Pluto was helpful with all of that. Astro keen quote:Originally posted by Violets:Sorry, AK I hadn't read your other posts before I posted here. Agreed, mantras generally tend to clear negative energy and would be helpful when clearing old wounds or links that sap one's energy. Then there are karmic releasing techniques which involve right intent, affirmations and visualisations. I am aiming to release an emotional link and let go of a relationship. Not because this is a negative relationship, quite the reverse in fact. It is just that we both need to go our separate ways. Once there is less or no emotional pull, one can begin the healing process and start afresh. I think the two, karmic and emotional release, may be inextricablly linked, where one inevitably leads to another.
