Stawr | I am going to save so much money! I go though dry shampoo bottles so fast. And a good size and good quality one usually costs over 10 bucks. Well it's technically wet dry shampoo. TO DIY you will need a spray bottle in the spray bottle you will need. 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp corn starch 1 tsp rubbing alcohol or witch hazel 1 fl oz of warm water here is the source http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4WHpVJgpe0 Can't wait to try this out!

Randall | How does dry shampoo work? |
Randall | Oh, just saw where it's wet dry. |
Stawr | well at stores they come in a spray bottle(like a hair spray one) usually you spray it in, leave it in a few minutes, rub it in brush it out. I think it will be about the same with the DIY version, only liquid. It's very handy for people that get greasy hair. They even make dry conditioner, I don't have a need for that. |
Stawr | I guess a better name for this DIY would be showerless shampoo. |
Yin | So, did you make it, Stawr? How is it working out? |
lucidrealm | Ive known about it but didnt try. Ive bought dry shampoo product but didnt like the chemical. Tried powder also but not nice. |
Stawr | Haven't made any yet. Using up other spray bottles first, so that I don't have to buy any at a beauty supply store. I'm exited cause I have all the ingredients to make it. Yeah some of the ones I bought I feel like they don't do anything like the Tresume ones. Rockaholic works great, But for the price and how often I use them is crazy! I feel like they only last me a few weeks. Haven't used any dry shampoo in a while. Must be a summer thing. I don't seem to need it in the summer. Maybe cause it's finally warm enough out for my hair to air dry. Got beach hair on vacation. Or maybe the low key summer makes me not care as much about my hair being greasy. Lately I put in a pony tail when roots are still damp, and it will look and feel clean the next day, and whenever I have time and give a crap I style my swoop bangs with a round brush. |
Stawr | Since I run out of dry shampoo so fast I've ended up using loose powders, and bronzer. Face powder is interesting makes my hair slightly a lighter color for a day. Never bought the hair powders. Though a hairdresser put some in my hair one time. |
Randall | It just lightens the color? |

Since I have medium fair skin and use face powder as close to my skin color as possible, and have brown/dark brown hair: The loose face powder will absorb the grease, but with that color powder being in my hair it will make my hair look chestnut brown after I use it. It makes enough of a difference where people will say "hey your hair looks different." |
Stawr | oh hey, here is another recipe! http://www.buzzfeed.com/juliegerstein/two-ingredient-diy-tries?bffbstyle |
