T O P I C R E V I E WPrettyVirgoAny insight to this please? IndigoDiraeThat would put APHRODITE on the other's ANTIVERTEX. AVX is interesting; unlike the VERTEX, which is fate-oriented, the ANTIVERTEX is where we have control. Is it your APHRODITE?PrettyVirgoNo. My anti-vertex. PrettyVirgobumpathenegoddessAphrodite is sexual desire aroused from physical beauty so it means a fated occurrence that deals with this energy.IndigoDiraeI'm a little stumped. APHRODITE is one of those where we're not entirely sure how she operates. Some say it's raw sexual attraction and expression. Others say it's an appreciation for beauty, with an attraction factor. VERTEX conjunct APHRODITE could be anything from being picked off the street by a photographer to be his next top model, to a relationship that is formed on the basis of physical attraction -- whereas other factors would need to be evaluated. Since it's VERTEX, there's a sense of fate at work here. And I'll go ahead and say APHRODITE is pure physical attraction -- for the sake of argument. But ANTIVERTEX. Hmm. As it's our free will, rather than fate, point, I'd say the 'fated' element isn't really present. It may be the most sobering way to look at this is the APHRODITE individual has come into your life on the basis of pure physical attraction. Not necessarily lust, but could be; might be a lusty thing. With AVX, you're in control. There's no fate at work here. You can choose whether or not to go down this path. Maybe the 'verse is throwing you a freebie? IndigoDirae quote:Originally posted by athenegoddess:Aphrodite is sexual desire aroused from physical beauty so it means a fated occurrence that deals with this energy. That would be VERTEX. IndigoDiraeI'll admit that my ASC is conjunct one's APHRODITE; he has confessed that I am physically his ideal. But I'm not sure if sexual attraction really plays a factor there. Some argue APHRODITE is very sexually oriented. athenegoddess quote:Originally posted by IndigoDirae: That would be VERTEX. Not ANTIVERTEX.With AVX, I'm pretty sure we can take the Fates out of it. I know from experience.athenegoddessAn Aphrodite archetype is Megan Fox she has Aphrodite opposite Sun and square Moon. She is a physical beauty that arouses men with pure sexual desire.IndigoDiraeI'm a SUN-APHRODITE-PLUTO-BML. And, yes, I can confirm that there's an attractive component to it; I just never know if that's the BML. I think that the VERTICES are an axis rather than spectrum. As the ASC and DSC are Self versus Other, and NODES are Future versus Past, the VERTICES are Fate versus Freewill. At the point of the AVX, we are in control. In some sense, these are karmic gifts. Unlike the NNODE, we don't have to develop them -- we have them intrinsically, but only when points contact the AVX. It's rather like a switch that way. So in this sense, it's not about fate -- it's about being in control. Take for example the OP. APHRODITE on her AVX may show a karmically rewarding sexual relationship, or opportunity for her to feel desirable, and benefit from those powers of attraction. This may be because of something her soul did before, though it isn't a karmic contract. She's in control here. That's why I say it's something of a freebie, or a 'free roll'. What brought this about has already been done, but it's not karma, in the general sense, because she's the one in command here. It's her choice; her decision. This has come to her as a result of good karma, most likely. She's free to act as she chooses. The usual 'consequences of fate' don't apply. athenegoddessMF has it in Scorpio/Taurus/Leo.. She has Hera conjunct Moon in Leo in the 10th house which is why she is famous.I have found the signs of Leo/Taurus represent kind of a Barbie doll syndrome. PLus she has a Libra ascendant so that helps tremendously. My ex bf has his Moon/PLuto/Mars on my antivertex. Meeting him was a contract we agreed upon... at the end of the day I had no choice he was taken away from me because I was meant to be with someone else. At the time I got really p***** off about it.IndigoDiraeHERA-MOON is a fame placement? Hadn't heard that. As to the MOON-PLUTO on AVX, I don't doubt there was a contract there, but I believe the relationship was karmic reward rather than debt. I don't think you lacked control there. Perhaps you had an abundance of SNODE which was becoming the focus, pulling you from NNODE?I've noticed when I'm putting too much focus on SNODE, I'll lose that access until I've devoted effort to NNODE. Lotis WhiteAphrodite Opposite Vertex in synastryHere's the thing I've noticed about the Vertex Axis. I've heard about the notion that Vertex is 'fated' while the Antivertex is 'freewill', only in synastry I've noticed that conjunctions to either end of this Axis tend to have profound 'fated' feel to them, with weird synchronicities all over the place. It's seems to me that the entire Vertex/Antivertex Axis itself is like an intersection in our chart that allows seemingly 'fated' scenarios to occur when it's touched.Another notion I've heard concerning the Vertex Axis is the notion that the Vertex is like an unconscious Asc, while the Antivertex is like an unconsious Dsc, in terms of supposedly 'fated' events in our lives (they feel personally significant to us). Using this theory the Vertex is about our 'fated' self-propulsion, while the Antivertex is about 'fated' influence from others. I'm keeping an open mind on this theory because I think there might be something to it.What I have noticed is that conjunctions to either end of this Axis in synastry indicate attraction. With Aphrodite opposite Vertex in synastry the Aphrodite person's vision of beauty, or the ideal women, might have personal significance to the Vertex person. The Vertex person recognizes it as familiar in some strange way, and it influences their psyche.PrettyVirgo quote:Originally posted by Lotis White:With Aphrodite opposite Vertex in synastry the Aphrodite person's vision of beauty, or the ideal women, might have personal significance to the Vertex person. That would be VERTEX. Not ANTIVERTEX.
