T O P I C R E V I E WstarrynightOkay, here is this guy I like. He has Leo Moon and Scorpio Venus.Moon conj Jupiter in LeoVenus square Jupiter in Leo.His 7th house/Dsc is in Leo, too, though I'm not 100% sure. So I figure he must like a lot of Leo in his Scorpio girls. Or maybe a lot of Scorpio in his Leo girls, whatever.Cool, because I've got Scorpio Sun with Leo Rising. Looks like a no-brainer, right? I'm meant to be his dream woman type. And yet... turns out my sis knows several of his exes through her work. All of them are quiet, steady, not very flashy. One of them has a birth date known, she is a Cancer with Taurus Moon + Venus. Another one is described by sis as a shy, silent type + super casual dresser. Um, where is all that Leo? Okay, two of them are blond-ish, but come on... hair color does not a sign make. xDLeeLoo2014Perhaps his DSC is in Cancer Most likely.DeepFreezeThere's much more than sun of course but I'm Leo and I draw in cancers. (my MC is cancer though) Besides... A Leo doesn't want too much competition for the spotlight. (kind of joking there) IndigoDiraeYeah, I'm voting his DSC is in CAN, TAU, PIS -- something that's more understated. VENUS and MOON placements do not a 'type' make, either.starrynightThe Cancer Dsc seems like a good theory, thanks!However... shouldn't the traits of Moon and Venus also show up? At least somehow? Even if they have aspects which makes it less clear-cut, shouldn't the foundation still be there? If I manipulate his chart to create Dsc in Cancer, his 7th house and its ruler aren't particularly involved. Yet if it overrides the rest of the signals...I've always been interested in astrology of attraction, but I still get mystified by the way it plays out in real life. It doesn't help that my own Mars and Sun and their aspects describe my type of guy pretty well. Dsc affects it, the 8th house affects it, but still, if you look at the first three, you can see a type, and my dating experience proves it to be correct.LeeLoo2014I think a man is really really attracted to a woman aspecting his Mars, so I'd take that into consideration as well. Preferences are not shown by the mere signs of Venus and Moon, many people have those placements, but it's a combo there, with houses, aspects etc. You can post his chart and we can see what kind of woman he prefers.starrynightOh pity I don't know their birthdays. I'm still wavering a bit between the comparison approach and the aspects approach, I guess you are right, we should blend them into a single entity/system. I can't post his chart, because he specifically asked me not to. As in: theoretical discussing is okay (he doesn't know it's synastry though), but no actual chart. He knows I'm into astrology and I discuss stuff, and he's superstitious for some reason. I promised. I'm not sure about the houses, either, because of the vague birthtime. And the aspects baffle me, because his Moon has no hard aspects and everything is either a Leo conjunction or a Sag trine. His Venus squares his Jupiter in Leo and has a really wide conjunction to his Scorpio Uranus. Still no Cancer, no Taurus, either, though maybe there were oppositions at work. Hmm, does that Mars thing work if there are mostly hard aspects? We have an amusing synastry in that his chart contacts my Mars very sweetly through trines and sextiles while his Mars squares both my Venus- Jupiter and my Pholus. There are also wide conjunctions to my Vertex and my Neptune and sextiles to my Pluto-Lilith-Sun, but all of them have like 6-7 degrees, super wide, while the squares are tight at 1-2.
So I figure he must like a lot of Leo in his Scorpio girls. Or maybe a lot of Scorpio in his Leo girls, whatever.
