T O P I C R E V I E WTyrianPurpleAstute followers will know I've recently found a "soul-family" connection with a longtime member of the forum. One of the highlights of our synastry is CERES-EROS. What's unconventional is how "pure" and downright "innocent" the friendship is. Instead of being "eroticized nurturing" as you would expect, our friendship seems to have vibe of "Platonicly nurturing our shared wounds to our Eros". Which is to say, I spend about 0% of my time thinking about her genitals, and about 80% of my time conspiring ways to inspire her and her husband to have a stronger relationship. Does anyone else have experience with CERES-EROS, especially a platonic one? Astro keenIt is interesting to note that Ceres in aspect to Eros leads to a platonic relationship. I had a Ceres/Lust and Ceres/ Eros with double whammies for both with someone and there was nothing platonic about that. Perhaps the Lust factor made the difference. However, it was a very caring relationship, at least from my end. Which Ceres/Eros aspects do you share? FaithI have this with my brother so yeah, totally platonic! We have tense synastry (sun square sun, moon square moon, Mars opp Mars) but manage to have...what's the word...highly-attuned conversations regardless.ETA: His Ceres is also conjunct my Mercury though, if you allow 3 degrees. And my Ceres is trine his, 1 degree orb...in air signs, so it shows up in conversation more than anything.^ I'd apologize for going "off topic" there but astrology is always complicated like that...the "caveats" are important. IndigoDiraeOh, Tyrian -- you never think about anyone's genitalia; that's not where the good stuff is.I think it's wild though, how, before I made a very important decision -- to accept how dynamics were shifting in a very significant relationship of mine, I really, really needed to talk to him. I realised how I was clearly feeling an emotional onslaught, and I couldn't really make sense of it myself -- so I talked to him. This has happened a few times, and we have no qualms talking about -- well, anything. But especially the more complicated matters, like sex and violence, or any combination thereof. He's going to be really integral in my study, too. I don't even think it would've gotten off the ground if it weren't for his really consolidating and solidifying a VERY crucial facet. (Thank you, THANK you for that.)So maybe this is CERES and EROS at work in synastry? Who knows? Definitely a component.KarmicMoonI have Ceres square Eros 1 degree. I wouldn't put it in the plutonic catagory but it is hard to isolate one aspect. My nuturing abilities would make him feel comfortable enough to bring out his erotic side.
