T O P I C R E V I E WArwen22Hey!I am a real beginner with Astrology and was wondering if someone could please help me understand something?I have a love interest whose Mars is in Gemini and mine is in Libra, which should be compatible I think... However it comes up in online synastry reports as 'Mars Square Mars' and therefore not a good aspect, is this due to the specific angles of the planets? Does the fact that these signs are still compatible negate the fact that they are coming up 'Square' in any way? Also we have Venus Square Venus! Although, his Venus is in Cancer and mine is in Pisces. Its the same situation, the signs are compatible, but the exact aspects seem to square and comes up in the report as Venus Square Venus. Thanks if you can help any way!margym0o quote:Originally posted by Arwen22:Hey!I am a real beginner with Astrology and was wondering if someone could please help me understand something?I have a love interest whose Mars is in Gemini and mine is in Libra, which should be compatible I think... Thanks if you can help any way!Depends on the degrees (the number between 0 and 29). If you have a late degree Gemini Mars making it almost a Cancer Mars, this can square a Libra Mars. Likewise, if you have a late degree Pisces Venus making it almost an Aries Venus, this can square a Cancer Venus. To give you an example, I have Gemini Sun opposite Capricorn Neptune. My Sun is 28 degrees Gemini so almost Cancer, so it opposes my Capricorn Neptune within a 6 degree orb.Arwen22Thank you, that makes sense! They are in the later degrees I think. Do you think the fact that they still sit within the compatible signs helps to add more compatablity? Or does it really not make any difference...margym0o quote:Originally posted by Arwen22:Thank you, that makes sense! They are in the later degrees I think. The wider the orb, the less it's felt.Arwen22Hope this info is what you mean:His Mars is 28°53' Gemini'Mine is 01°21' LibraHis Venus is 00°07' CancerMy Venus is 24°29' PiscesThanks!Aubyanne quote:Originally posted by Arwen22:Hope this info is what you mean:His Mars is 28°53' Gemini'Mine is 01°21' LibraHis Venus is 00°07' CancerMy Venus is 24°29' PiscesThanks!Oh, I see what's up. It's definitely a 2° square, despite the elements being in Air. It just works out that way sometimes.Arwen22Thanks for your help : )
