Greetings, my beloved IA @ LL. Dreaded upper respiratory infection has had me down for the count since Thanksgiving. The same day my cat was hospitalised with a life-threatening condition, and my husband and I were discussing the logistics of separating.
I've not been around much. As a result.
My cat was released two days later, and I was already in agony. Still had to monitor my cat 24/7 for the next week. Then I needed a higher powered antibiotic. Then, the endless intense coughing took its toll upon my body, first pulling the muscles in my torso, then the left, and now right, side. Inhalation = excruciating pain. So, it's a lot of shallow breathing until these guys heal.
And sometimes my cat will pounce me. Right on all the aching everything. But I have to laugh, because of how grateful I am that he's feeling so good.
So, I'm finally, finally healing. The infection is likely gone now, as I'm on my last day of the antibiotic, and the fever at last broke on Sunday. ( ... Or was it Saturday? I don't even know. I wrote it down.)
But I miss LL, so you'll see me in and out as I feel up to it. Today's rough, as the right side is just starting up with the same stabbing pains the left had two days ago. At least this is something I'm familiar with now; watch the coughing, don't worry if it's my lung (it's not), apply lots of analgesic, take pain medication, breathe softly and shallowly through the impulse, and let it all rest.
That's gonna be my life for the next week. I hope your hollydaze are far better. I'm on the mend and will be back in action soon. 'Til then, here and there. Anyone who wishes to hire me (and, bless you, I desperately need the money) just post here, and I promise you, I'll get right on it when I'm well.
At least I had a normal-ish breakfast today. But no coffee. Ohhhhh, no. Not yet. But, hey. Small victories.
Thanks for your understanding. Really.
