T O P I C R E V I E WMilaBirkinhaving these aspects, always means it is a short and unstable relationship? RandallBump!Delilah423Not necessarily. It can also signify an unconventional relationship.I have a Venus/Uranus square double whammy with Mr. Taurus which becomes a conjunction in Composite; we've known each other for 20+ years and been together as a couple for 3 years. We are of very different ethnic backgrounds and are comfortable living separately. We also have Uranian influences in our natals and are older; when I was younger my 7th House Uranus made me crazy. Now not so much.toddI agree a nontraditional relationship can last over time, such as a open relationship. but is a relationship with no responsibility to the partner really a relationship?the only composite with a Uranus square that I have ever seen lasting for years had the Uranus as part of a grand cross with one of the other planets being Jupiter. but even this though it lasted years was punctuated by separations and reconciliation.toddmargym0oI'm not so sure it's this black and white when it comes to Uranus in synastry/composite. I know one couple in particular with a Venus/Uranus square in synastry AND composite and they are one of the happiest, most normal and stable couples I know (unless it's all a lie). I can't speak to whether they have periods of distance/coolness in their relationship with each other, but they are one of those couples you could never see getting divorced unless something catastrophic happens. They are both the same race, were raised similarly and have similar backgrounds so nothing unique about their pairing either. They were friends first, and only dated for I think for a year and a half before getting engaged and married in their mid 20's so maybe that's where Uranus comes in? They've been together a good 7-8 years now.I'm not sure if other factors balance this out or negate it but they don't have a grand cross in their composite.Another couple I know has been together 6 years and are getting married in September and have their composite Sun/Mercury/Venus opposite Uranus (all wide orbs though). They are interracial and have a really nice composite otherwise though (I think).YanmorgWhen it comes to these aspects, I think it really comes down to the natals and if the uranus-personal planet aspect in synastry is the same uranus-personal planet in the natal but not necessarily the same aspect if that makes sense. For example, if you have a uranus-venus square in synastry with someone but then one of you has a uranus-venus SEXTILE, that will work too because uranus is making an aspect to VENUS specifically regardless of the energy.. and the same goes for Sun, Moon, mercury, mars, etcAs long as the aspects are similar in nature.CeridwenMy best friend and her husband have that. Uranus conjunct Venus, opposite Jupiter, square SaturnThey`ve been married for 11 years now, together for 16 years, though it`s hard to tell as they started out as friends and knew each other a while before. No separations, no up-and-down between them at all. No open marriage, they are as committed as one can imagine, and it wouldn`t work at all if either was breaking the trust. However they are unusual in that they have 4 children together (and planning for the 5th), which makes them stick out in a society where people look at you weird if you dare to have 3 children instead of the average 1,3. EmGemThese stories are great to hear. I was secretly a little worried about our composite Venus opposite Uranus. Which is more challenging the square or opposition?I can see us as having unconventionality that's for sure. Lots of overseas travel aNd work, coming and going. I like that freedom however I need the trust and emotional stability as well. It definitely keeps it exciting though. I read a thread not long ago where the most long standing married couples had a common thread of having Venus/Uranus in their synastry.Anyway natally he has Uranus widely trine sun, moon, Mercury, venus.I have it conjunct my ASC, biquintile sun, Mercury, quintile moon, Mars.So in this case I'd hope it's more suited to us.If you have other strong stabilising synastry/composite I think it helps. We have moon/Saturn, moon/moon, nodal contacts with moon and ASC, sun/moon etc...BelageMore specifically, Uranus squaring which planet exactly? Depending on the planet, it can make a world of difference. For me, the deal breaker is Uranus square or opposite Venus. Too unpredictable. However, if the people have very strong Saturnian and nodes aspects that cement the relationship and offset the Uranian unpredictability, it could work. MilaBirkinthanks for your replies :-). interesting!margym0oIt seems like overall it's a matter of convenience for whatever suits the situation at the time.Venus/Uranus in a long-term relationship/marriage means excitement, unconventionality or keeping things fresh.Venus/Uranus in a breakup means fast feelings turned cold, distance or a crash and burn scenario.Could go either way...madelineleo23- hearttreasureI'm sorry if this is OOT since it talks about uranus square in composite chart I'm curious what happen if the composite with Mars square Uranus?Marandana quote:Originally posted by madelineleo23:I just recently experienced both a venus/uranus opposition and trine in synastry with someone for the first time. Uranus conjunct Venus, opposite Jupiter, square Saturn

I have Mars opposition Uranus with someone in a composite chart. But we both have Mars Contraparallel Uranus in our natal chart. So I assume this is why it shows up in the composite chart.
