T O P I C R E V I E WVioletsI end up having this with a lot of family members, which is very annoying (including my son and husband, and I've noticed some recent additions to our extended family).Does anyone have hard aspects with Mars and/or outer planets with their family members, and have you found a productive way of getting around that? There's Venus aspects to be found in our family, but with some family members they're few and far between. -__-FaithMy sympathies. Most of my siblings have Virgo Pluto-Uranus square my Mars. Many hardships with this, growing up.I love them, but never see them, and I wonder what it would even be like, if we all lived close together. I know there have been issues in the past where I could huff, puff, and blow the house down, and they would barely acknowledge I was doing anything.Could also be because I'm the youngest.VioletsThanks, Faith. No Pluto/Mars hard aspects in our immediate family, but I've mentioned before that my husband's Uranus, my Pluto, and our son's Saturn are all conjunct, and combine that with hard aspects already in natal, lol.I believe my Pluto is conjunct at least one Mars in synastry with one newer addition to our family, so I wonder how that will turn out. ElysiaViolets,Yeah, that can be rather annoying at close quarters. How are your mercuries? Are they in sync by sign or aspect? Do they make stressful aspects or none at all? Venus aspects are nice to have (and Jupiter, for FUN & games to put aside conflicts). But even in the absence of these, things can go smoother, or be worked out, if your mercuries play well together.. Violets@ ElysiaOur Mercuries have issues too, lol. My husband's Mercury is conjunct my Moon, but of course then opposes my Sun, and squares my Neptune. My Mercury is conjunct his Mars, and opposes his Sun. We do have Venus trine Venus, Moon trine Moon, and trines with Vertex and Moon/Venus. So it gets smoothed over and we can laugh at how ridiculous our arguments are (they're often quite absurd, heh).My son's Aries stellium is all square my quiet Cap Mars, including his Mercury. But we have Mars trine Mars, Pluto trine Moon, Neptune conjunct Sun, and Jupiter sextile Sun, so we can be very spiritual and creative, with a close bond, and have a lot of fun with sports and games, etc.So yeah...we're quite a unique bunch. My son's Verex is also trine my Venus and conjunct my NN, so that also helps.ElysiaAah, those are great! I suppose it's different with immediate family, since you have the love, will (and astrology) to be able to take the good with the bad - it's all part of the package. Perfect synastry would be boring anyway! With not-so-immediate family, hard mars aspects can probably be avoided by not triggering that side of things at all? For instance, if they get unhealthily competitive about things, one might side step issues that trigger "mine's better than yours" stories? Something like that..Depends on what shape the problems take. The best general opinion I can give on this is, if it's a Martian issue, the solution is to put one's thoughts on ice and avoid responding to provocation of any sort. Violets^ Lol. That is very sage advice... I will have to work on curbing my 3rd house Pluto, and my Mars/Uranus square. When someone's Mars is conjunct my Pluto, it's also usually square my Saturn. I really, really dislike it when people have Mars in a place that annoys that square. It's Cardinal after all, and it's Pluto and Saturn. But hopefully the Venus aspects will win out with the newer extended family members (I believe there's a Venus trine Jupiter, and at least Mercury/Sun trine Mercury in there). Venus usually does trump even the hardest aspects, amazingly. ElysiaHehe.. Sorry, don't mean to sound as if I'm giving advice. Hope you do find a way round it though.. Yes, you're right, Venus does make things pretty sweet. Violets quote:Originally posted by Elysia:Hehe.. Sorry, don't mean to sound as if I'm giving advice. Hope you do find a way round it though.. I actually asked for insight (I may have actually asked for advice outright), so I don't mind at all!It really is sage advice! Elysia
