T O P I C R E V I E WmanderinI have a theory that Venus/Asc aspects in synastry might point to timing in relationships. Timing is everything in relationships. If you're not in the right place at the right time then you never meet. Many astrologers say that if your chart does not indicate that you will have a good life partner then the stars make it much easier for you to meet people who are not great mates than to meet ideal ones for you.I did synastry between myself and someone else and it's really fantastic synastry... but we keep missing one another even though we try. When he's trying to reach me, something weird happens and I can't be reached and when I'm trying to reach him he can't be reached. This has been going on for months so we've never met in person. We have an exact Venus square Ascendant and it's the tightest aspect in our synastry along with Mars conjunct Ascendant which is also exact. The synastry is really amazing, so I was interested to see what would happen if we met... but we've NEVER been able to meet! And we've been trying since December.SeleniteOmg.. I agree with you that this could be a thing. The same thing happened to me with someone who I have the square with. Meanwhile, my last 2 relationships have been my Venus sextile his ASC exactly, and my Venus conjunct his ASC exactly. manderinMany interpretations of this aspect mention that the social circles of the two people tend to be different. If you run in two different circles then relating at first will of course be more difficult. But I think maybe the closer the orb of this square, the less likely you two will be able to meet up at all.margym0oWouldn't this have more to do with other things like transits etc. than a synastry aspect?Synastry shows the "chemistry" of two individuals, not necessarily the timing of life events. My interp. of Venus/ASC would be very basic...the way someone "presents themselves" would either compliment or clash with your "ideal."To make a very simple (and stereotypical) example, a man with Gemini Venus prefers a slender girl with glasses, but he ends up liking a slender Virgo ASC girl who doesn't wear glasses. He still finds her attractive, yet secretly wishes she wore glasses. Moral of the story...there's still a basic level of attraction to someone who squares your ASC even if they don't quite fit your "ideal."problematiquethis is one of the tightest aspects i have with my crush and i'm not sure. if we did meet, lets say, three years earlier, things might've been much easier. now everything seems upside down. regarding the social circle, it's true - our social circles differ a lot. my work squad doesn't even interact with his work squad even tho we're right next to each other. and he stares at me A LOT! like a lot! i think with this tight aspect, you just have to notice one another.RandallBump!
