NYCdodger | I was looking at a previous composite I had with someone and we had a Moon-Pluto conjunction which BOTH trined our venus. Interesting enough in our Synastry her Mars conjuncted my Sun, and we had a venus-pluto trine DW. And our venus were both conjunct tightly in the 5th house. My Mars was also sextile her Venus (which is funny because I liked this aspect more than the conjunction). But what interested me was that in our Composite chart we had an Unaspected Mars in Gemini. From what I read, and unaspected planet is like a wild untamed horse that strongly emphasizes your personality. So how would an unaspected mars work in Composite? |
Doux Rêve | Hi NYCdodger, welcome! Well, what was the relationship like? I personally don't like seeing unaspected personal planets in the composite. To me that points to that planet's energy being unable to express itself in the context of the relationship. With Mars it may be sexual expression, like you two can't be physical with one another for some reason. It can also mean a lack of passion or drive between in the relationship. Looking at the house Mars rules would give additional info. |
NYCdodger | The relationship was VERY passionate. That's why I don't believe people who say unaspected planets are weak. I have an unaspected mercury in my natal and I can't stop intellectualizing things. |

It was VERY passionate. Which is why i never believe in the whole "unaspected planet being weak" theory. Every astrology knows that an unaspected planet can intensify your entire chart. I have an unaspected mercury in my natal, and i'm ADDICTED to writing and intellectualizing lol. So I can imagine how this unaspected mars would be in composite. Our relations were passionate. irritating, sexual, and impulsive

socialgraffiti | with any unaspected planet, either in the natal chart or synastry, that planet can either be oppressed and unexpressed, or a defining characteristic of that person/relationship, good or bad. what decides whether the planet is expresse or not are the other aspects/placements in a chart. prob explains how the relationship seemed so martial- passionate, but also aggravating + your mercury & how your brain's super active |

Probably. I just know that the unaspected mars was doing something lol

Hey Randall! Do you have any insight? |
Doux Rêve | Then it's exactly like you said - it was a very strong, raw energy and "took over" the entire chart. Makes sense. |
Bearee | Upping this because I want to know if someone has experience with an unaspected mars in the composite. I have it with someone I like a lot, it’s in Cancer in the 8th house. |

capricorncheriscty | Well if it was there in synastry then of course the energy still came out lol |
Randall | Bump! |
capricorncheriscty | Adding on, I think an unaspected planet just means there is no control to the planet, no restraint or limitation. Aspects give limitations to planet's energy, so their energy doesn't just explode everywhere and anywhere in the person's life. These limitations can be good or bad, depending on the aspect. Without aspects to a planet, the planet is more likely to erupt in its full energetic nature, probably as its more stereotypical self. In this case, Mars giving lots of passion and intimacy. Maybe the couple also exerts a very arrogant or prideful nature, maybe they are very protective of one another and can be highly combative if others try to demean their relationship. They might enjoy sports and run rampant with one another on the field or in the sheets? Basically, just Mars energy without a restraint. A planet working without restrictions on its energy can be fine and fun for a while but it can be hard for everyone tame it later on. The aspects give an outlet for the energy to be expressed in multiple directions and traits instead of stasis in its own planet. Sharing is caring lol. |
