T O P I C R E V I E WCappyLoveHi guys, I am really trying to learn more in astrology and all things to do with relationships really interest me!I am wondering about the differences and relevance of both Composite and Davisons charts, especially experience with the two and how they have manifested in your life. For example I have a Composite with heavy 12th house stellium but that is not the case in Davison. I'd love to hear about your experiences! ------------------LizRandallBump!girlwiththerainysoulHi,All these tools go hand in hand. I have seen astrologers who prefer to work with as many tools as possible to verify their interpretations, while others prefer to stick to one or two only. Everyone should experiment to find out which ones work best for them. CappyLove quote:Originally posted by girlwiththerainysoul:Hi,All these tools go hand in hand. I have heard that some astrologers don't like them while others do. Has it worked for you?? I think my Davison is more on point than my Composite, my chart gets reversed, like opposite ascendant and planets in houses. For some I noticed big change but for others not. Trying to understand how it all works girlwiththerainysoulI mostly use the composite and the synastry, but I understand that the Davidson is also popular with many. anevolenaGirlwiththerainysoul, While I agree with what you're saying, I think OP made this thread so we can discuss our experiences with these tools so we can get other's input and benefit from their research. Personally, I don't use the Davison chart. The composite makes more thematic sense for what it represents-- how two people come together-- whereas the Davison is truly just an arbitrary point in time. How does that day have any impact on me, on us? I don't see how it would, besides happening to be the midpoint date. Whereas, the composite is a midpoint chart, factoring in both natal charts. Additionally, the composite chart has been far more accurate in my experience. Typically the Davison isn't ~that~ far off from a Composite. The only real difference is due to how the Davison is affected if a planet retrogrades between when person A and B was born. Which also adds to my above point about Davison not making thematic sense-- why should a retrograde between the two of our births have any impact on the relationship years later? All that really impacts a relationship is the two people in it, the two natal charts. That's the way I see it.RandallBump!RandallBump!RandallBump!SimplyLuna-bloop-RandallBump!
