T O P I C R E V I E Wluna*tic12Can somebody explain to me what exactly a lexigram is?My full name is Hannah Lauren Firsten-Kaufman, perhaps if somebody could lexigram my name I would get a better understanding of it?------------------Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House.EleanoreHi, luna*tic12, and sorry for the long wait on a reply. A lexigram is a way of finding a deeper meaning in names/words/phrases. You find the words in a name and then you string them together to form phrases, sentences, and some even come out very poetic. People have different styles of lexigramming, I've heard, but I follow the rules Linda Goodman outlined in Star Signs. She states that the words to be lexigrammed have to follow certain criteria. The word or phrase cannot contain all 5 vowels. The word or phrase cannot contain more than 15 separate letters. By separate she means letters that are not repeated more than once, eg. your name, in a lexigram, only has thirteen separate letters because most of them are repeated more than once. A letter can only be used as many times as it appears in the original word or phrase, eg. your name only has one "i" and so each word you can find in it can only have one "i" as well. When negative words show up in the lexigram they can be cancelled out if the word "NO" or "NOT" is also contained in the word or phrase. She believed this meant that the person/entity in question could possibly be accused of doing/being the negative things in the word/phrase but they would not actually be guilty of them. In the event that the word "YES" also appears with the word "NO" then the word "YES" cancels out the "NO".Anyway, don't mind my going on if it is a bit confusing. I just love lexigrams. If you haven't read Star Signs and are really interested in lexigramming then I highly recommend it. I would love to do a lexigram on your name but it will probably take me a couple of days to be back with it. ------------------"You are not here to try to get the world to be just as you want it to be. You are here to create the world around you that you choose while you allow the world as others choose it to be to exist also." - Esther Hicksluna*tic12Thank you so much! Very helpful.I would really appreciate a lexigram on my name - I'm so curious. But by all means, take your time! I am in no hurry. : )------------------Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House.EleanoreHannah Lauren Firsten KaufmanMALE, FEMALE IN USI AM LIKE THE RAINI STIR FLAMES IN THEMEARTH FIRE, HEARTH FIREINNER LAIRHEAR HER NAMEHEAR HIS NAMEHEAL THE EARTHHEAL USALL THEIR STRAIN IS IN USWE MUST TRAINWE MUST RESTLISTEN ... You might enjoy trying your hand at a few. It's the only way to learn it ... and I really have fun with it. Do you use your full name on a regular basis? If you go by a shortened version more often, you might want to lexigram that, too. Less letters would make it less intimidating, imo, and might narrow the field down to something more personal for you. Linda says something similar in regards to numerology, to use the name you use most frequently. I don't remember if she applied it to lexigrams as well but it couldn't hurt to try. I use that method with names that, when complete, are ineligible for lexigramming according to Linda's rules, at least. lotusheartoneEleanore, you're amazing! luna*tic12Yeah seriously! That was really cool. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that... it was really beautiful... and really resonated with me, a lot...------------------Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House.EleanoreNo problem luna*tic12. If you try one yourself, I'd love to read it.
