Lexxigramer | Looking at Anagramming and yes LEXIGRAMMING too To reveal positive outlooks and more!😎 Even from gloomy seeming words. Such as the following.DEPRESSION Anagrammed= I PRESSED ON! A positive Anagram from DEPRESSION That Anagram is also a perfect Lexigram😎 Another one which makes a great perfect Anagram but is not a Lexigram because it required the use of the contraction I'M to make the word IMPOSSIBLE become the Anagram I'M POSSIBLE There is no letter A in the word Impossible. Nevertheless Anagram and Lexigram both are positive outlooks 😎 ------------------ Click here to read My Lexigramming Biography: going on 2/3 of a century to date ♥ Lexigramming!🔠✍️ I shall return for as long as it is possible to do so.

Lexxigramer | Actually I should have perhaps titled this thread as "Anagrams as Antigrams"ANTIGRAMS
are actually also ANAGRAMS 😎 What does this mean? An ANTIGRAM is an ANAGRAM A which means by definition the opposite meaning of the word used for the ANAGRAM. Here are just a few😎✍️
SILENT = LISTEN ________ VIOLENCE = NICE LOVE _______ UNTIED = UNITED _________ FUNERAL ° REAL FUN _________ ANTAGONIST = NOT AGAINST Remember that an ANAGRAM is a word or phrase or name etcetera spelled out by rearranging and using ALL the letters from the original word. 😎✍️ Have fun😎✍️ I shall return with more ASAP 😎✍️ |
Lexxigramer | Phrase Antigrams😎✍️ Within Earshot = I Won't Hear This ______________________ A Volunteer Fireman = I Never Run to a Flame ______________________ I Am Flustered = I, Made Restful ___________________ Voting on the sly = Voting Honestly ___________________ Okay off to get some more😎✍️ |

Lexxigramer | The word ANTIGRAM is a portmanteau of ANTONYM which means (opposite meaning) and ANAGRAM (a word created with all of the letters of another). PORTMANTEAU = noun 1. a large trunk or suitcase, typically made of stiff leather and opening into two equal parts. 2. a word blending the sounds and combining the meanings of two others, for example motel (from ‘motor’ and ‘hotel’) or brunch (from ‘breakfast’ and ‘lunch’). "podcast is a portmanteau, a made-up word coined from a combination of the words iPod and broadcast" 😎✍️ |
Lexxigramer | We have other threads that dealt with these Antigrams. One dealt with TEACHER = CHEATER and the other with the word SATAN = SANTA http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/002030.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/001935.html |
Lexxigramer | NOTE When contractions such as I'M is used in lieu of I AM are used in any of these ANTIGRAMS The creation can then be considered as being both an ANAGRAM and a ANTIGRAM And of course ALL letters must be used. However If no contractions are used Then the resulting creation is all three 😎✍️3️⃣ ANTIGRAM ANAGRAM LEXIGRAM |
Lexxigramer | A few more 😎✍️ FORTY-FIVE to OVER FIFTYADULTERY to TRUE LADY MISFORTUNE to IT'S MORE FUN FILLED to ILL FED INFERNO to NON FIRE SAINTLINESS to ENTAILS SINS WELLBEING to WE'LL BINGE EVANGELIST to EVILS' AGENT TIDIER ROOMS to DORMITORIES ____________________ Not sure if there are any misspellings. Please point any errors of any kind out to me Thank you😎✍️ Note Not all the examples posted are perfect opposite meaning ANTIGRAMS. All however are ANAGRAMS and some are also basic LEXIGRAMS. Some as I posted earlier, are even all three, LEXIGRAMS ANAGRAMS ANTIGRAMS Wonder what the longest ANTIGRAMS is⁉️ |
Lexxigramer | Points of interest. As with many terms/names of things etcetera at times there is confusion and even misappropriation intentional or not. An example I will use here is such as calling Lexigrams by the name which Linda innocently used without realizing that it was already being used in primate language studies using Lexigram boards to communicate. Hence one of the reasons it has not been officially entered into dictionaries. That is why my husband and I prefer the Term and variations of it used for centuries. That would be LEXAGRAM and or LEXAGRAME and or LEXAGRAMME Not the word LEXIGRAM which officially belongs to the research into primate communications. More about Lexigrams and the word "LEXIGRAMS" See Lexigram board image at the link http://www.sites.google.com/site/austinstoll12communication/home/lexigram is actually what the original meaning of the word Lexigram was. Linda used the word for what was already considered advanced Anagramming (which was not anagramming but Lexigramming) which is ancient form of serious word coding used in divination and secret messages and so forth, and for literary and general entertainment.. http://www.sites.google.com/site/austinstoll12communication/home/lexigram The symbols shown at the above link are lexigrams from a bonobo called kanzi's keyboard. quote:
A lexigram is a symbol that represents a word but is not necessarily indicative of the object referenced by the word. Lexigrams were notably used by the Georgia State University Language Research center to communicate with bonobos and chimpanzees. Researchers and primates were able to communicate using lexigram boards made by up to three panels of a total 384 keys.
The word ANTIGRAM is also used in medical testing for Antibody Detection and Identification quote:
Antibody detection and identification are performed by testing patient serum or plasma with reagent red cells. Agglutination or hemolysis indicates sensitization of the reagent red cells by an unexpected antibody in the patient's serum. The reagent red cells come with an antigram or antigen profile sheet. The antigram shows the phenotype of each reagent cell used.
However the word ANTIGRAM is also recognized officially as a popular and well known form of wordplay and it's definition c!early in dictionaries describing how it is used in wordplay.😎 |
