T O P I C R E V I E WOxychickTrapped in the snow here...lots and lots and lots of snow...so bored...I wouldn't have even cared if my job was open today..anyone have any ideas on how to pass the tedium? Anyone around? So far 18.2" in Central Park. N_wEvilhave a drink...or two... or three, or four... you get the idea proxiemeI'm stuck, too Actually, I just had to move my car b/c my evil neighbor wouldn't let my other roomie park behind mine and another roommate's (5 people, 2 parking spaces). So, I drove down to the more affluent subdivision where there's plenty of parking...the problem being that it's all under 5-feet-deep snow plow induced drifts. But, I found a quasi spot...but I got stuck backing in (w/ 4-wheel drive), and had 3 wonderful people help me get it out.AND I learned how to rock my car(drive, reverse, drive, reverse, til it moves some). But, besides digging through snow...what else, what else.I've watched a multitude of movies ("Little Odessa", so sad; and I've a preview copy of "Bloody Sunday"). Playing in the snow's always fun...but I guess it gets brown and gross pretty quickly in NYC. Oh, because I'm a big geek ( ), I've played Final Fantasy X to death as well, and right now I'm surfing the web and listening to jazz while burning some loverly candles. My classes probably won't start back up until Wed. at the soonest (more likely Thursday) and I'm only working Fri-Sun now, but I'm easily amused and the above or variations on them will most likely see me through. It's a Pisces thing. But you're an Aquarius, right? I'm sorry - not that you're a Water Bearer sun, but b/c I know a few and they seem to tend to get stir crazy more quickly than me.Even my 74-year-old Aquarius Gma can't usually sit still through a movie, and that's w/ an otherwise heavily earthen chart. My often fidgety 1st House Uranus feels for ya, though.MindReaderAfter I watched my soaps I clicked onto ABC Family and watched the reruns of Celebrity Mole: Hawaii. Even though I watched it when it was regularly on, I watched them in order (marathon) and actually saw how the mole sabotaged or tried to sabotage the game.Kinda boring, huh?------------------"I am the Game, cause I am just that damn good"...Paul Michael LevesqueproxiemeYa'll got it bad in GA, too?I did not know that. Was it mostly snow, or did you get hit by ice?proxiemeN_w - N_wEvilProxy - http:/www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/wevil/harhar2.jpgOxychicksounds like you had a very full day, Proxy! I woke up late with a slight hangover/sinus ache, called a headhunter, took a shower and that's been it. lol Yes, I'm quite stir crazy-lots of air in my chart-I couldn't even sit still to read a book.I had a drink, but I am trying to get to work very early tomorrow so I don't get stuck in the mess that will be the subways. How is it so possible to be so restless and yet so lazy at the same time? Twin LadyHi all Had a couple of "interesting" days here in Pa. Watched several movies (taped mini-series, lol)...dug out some knitting...made a big pot of spaghetti sauce w. meatballs. Everything's closed yet tomorrow so I guess I'll make a pot of chicken soup...Oh, and my brand-new furnace shut down this morning and only just began running again about 30 minutes ago. The outside air-return vent was pulling snow into the unit and had to be dug out (buried beneath about 4 feet of drifted snow against the side of the house). Luckily we have kerosene heaters so it wasn't too bad. I know I should take advantage of the enforced time at home to catch up on various tasks and paperwork, but with 3 Cancer planets and Pisces Rising too, I preferred cooking, creating and escaping with the mini-series ("North and South", BTW), lol. I figure the rest will still be there for me to handle soon enough... ------------------Twin LadyOxychickOh my, Twin Lady! I'll bet you're relieved to have your furnace running again though. I think we're all allowed some lazy days and we shouldn't have to feel liek we need to do anything. Days like today are sometimes nice little breaks from the real world. theFajita3I agree Oxychick good luck tomorrow in the snow- you too Proxieme that sounds tough in the snow..------------------Food is the only art that nourishes!proxiemeNaw, man, it' s cool. It kinda brings people together, and it's fun to play in - what more could you ask?Twin Lady"I think we're all allowed some lazy days and we shouldn't have to feel liek we need to do anything. Days like today are sometimes nice little breaks from the real world." "It kinda brings people together, and it's fun to play in - what more could you ask?"Absolutely, Oxychick and Proxieme! Though this year the snow HAS been a little (shall we say) excessive...I don't mind it too much... Dealing with it kind of shows us what we're made of, ie how resourceful and adaptable, not to mention how strong physically, lol.Christmas Day for example, was one to remember. Different than past ones because of all the snow we got (in Pa., anyway), but very nice. Did anyone else have that experience? Just wondering. OxychickSo I don;t think my interview went so well. I just don't fit the whole one-on-one-i'm-being-measured-up dynamic. Air=restless. and I may have come across looking too conservative...b/c I wore a dark suit b/c we don;t wear suits here at work and i needed something i could metamorphosize into in just a few minutes...back to the ol' grind. i was so looking forward to composing my letter of resignation...sorry, needed to let that out. Carlobene baby bene OxychickWell, apparently the interviewer said I was "too shy". Me? Even astrologically-I'm not shy! Aqua Sun/Leo Moon/Gem rising-by golly I should be one damn charismatic person! But alas, I guess I'm not. hehe Stupid interviewers. Grazie, Carlo, grazie. OxychickAnd Twin Lady,I have a few friends in PA and heard all about the snow. I think the snow is great! And beautiful! And fun since my Gemini friend and I threw some snowballs around today, since our job let us out early. Christmas was pretty here too, but I don;t celebrate and found it kinda dull since everything was closed. ah well. MindReaderSnow in Ga? Only if we're lucky (or unlucky for me). Even if we get snow here, it is usually 2 or 3 inches and this is a blizzard for us. LOL! I used to live in Pa and after having to walk to school about 5-6 blocks in the snow up to my knees in school, I now do not like snow.theFajita3Well Oxychick at those times you come and celebrate LIFE with me, I'm open for ya! Or we could celebrate AQUARIANISM! Or FREEDOM FROM THE OFFICE-ISM. OR WOMANISM! OR FOOD-ISM! ok I'm going a little nuts, sorry!------------------food is the only art that nourishes!
