Once we become aware of our underlying motives, we can choose to change them, if we wish.Regularly ask yourself, "Why am I ...?" Listen closely for the answer that surfaces in your mind, and write it down. Now look at your answer and ask why again. Especially good is two people helping each other with it. One makes a statement. Or asks a question. The other replies, "why?". Keep this up until you run out of answers. It can take quite awhile! Or set a timer and take turns doing it!
