starr33 | What do you think is the ideal cup size for a 5'4 125lbs woman? I'm serious, folks. If my insurance approves my request, its bye bye 38d and hello...well, something smaller and more manageable. |
LEXX | Good luck. At my peak of 400+ pounds with a K cup...... insurance would not cover such. At a thinner weight, 145 and 5 ft.4 3/4 inches, E cup.....still no go with insurance. I need to have things snugged up after I lose 100 more pounds, having already lost 140 to date. It will most likely have to be me paying, if I ever can. I have checked around, and insurance will not cover any of it without proof of complications, as infection and spinal damage. So I may be able to get such done/approved by Medicare, but not until I get my weight down and submit proof of spinal damage and lost of 1 3/4 of my height. Am now 5 ft. 3 in. Also been rejected as too risky for me yet. Note: I was told that anything D cup and up, they remove the nipples and then put them back. I think that is awful. I mean, they will not work after that as well and definitely one can not ever nurse a child from then on. |
starr33 | Geez, Lexx, sorry about that. The surgeon said he would be removing the nipple and placing upward and making both the same size, which would be nice. He's only had two patients out of thousands who couldn't breast feed. He also said insurance would most likely be covered because of the discomfort I'm in and not having to lose weight. Losing weight is what they usually require initially. So, what size would you like to be? |
LEXX | Wow! So they can make the nipples still work? Me, size desired? Oh gods! Flat flat flat PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -A cup LOL! I have had these freakish monstrosities since I was 8 years old.OK, A or B would be fine. |
LEXX | Me over 30 years ago with son, and my droopy f/g cups and 225 pounds, a weight I feel comfortable with. No boobie details are actually showing here; ie; nipples, so hope it is not too graphic for posting. Edge of bottom right one is on his leg. |
LEXX | I agree with you though. Anything above a C cup is hard on one's chest and back. And so ugh when it is hot out or when one jogs and so forth. I have actually had one caught under a 400 pound mold on the job. It was nearly black from the smashing and had to be drained of the bruising/clotting. (I shan't post pic of such, it was uber gross) At peak weight ugh, the damn things weighed 12 pounds each. Bleh. I WANT TO BE FLAT CHESTED! lol! |
starr33 | Really? I still want to feel like a woman. I just looked at some before & after photos and I think a small C would fit me better physically and psychologically. Not too big, not too small. Going from a D to even a B would be traumatic for me. It would have to be a full B. |
LEXX | For myself, yes, flat please! But for fashion sake/appeal to a man, would probably go with a B or small C. Small enough to pass as a guy when I want to and big enough to still have cleavage if anyone desires to see such. Also would not need the 12 to 16 x-rays for a basic mammography. (and also would love to avoid the humiliation I feel when having those done by a perky small breasted girl/tech, when exposing my dreadful droopers. ...) Because of bad bone spurs in shoulders and neck, I can no longer wear bras safely. So yeah, as flat as possible is my desire.

LEXX | Sorry for hogging your thread. I am sure you will love the results!!!!! All the women I have known who had the breast reductions done were VERY pleased with their results! |

starr33 | 36C sounds like it's perfect for you, jesstar, with your height. Lucky you! I'd love a 32/34C, but I don't think I can change my band width, right? unless I lost weight? So, a small C is what the surgeon said would be in proportion with my height and weight. |
jesstar | well like i said ive never given the matter much thought but seek and u will find ask and u shall recieve .u go girl !! |
starr33 | I've been approved!!!! The date has been set for Feb. 10th, and I'm so excited! The good thing is because it's an out-patient procedure, I'll only have to pay $100.00 for the hospital visit and 10% of the anesthesia (whatever that is), which comes to $200.00 or a little less. If it would have been in-patient, the out of pocket cost would have been less than $1000.00. My Anthem Blue Cross pays all the surgeon's costs. I've been dreaming of this for years and now it's coming true. Merry Christmas! |

starr33 | Thank you! I've just been informed that both my aunts are seriously looking into the procedure. Small world for big breasts. lol. |
LEXX | Yaaaaaaay! |
starr33 | Thank you! I'll update this thread about the procedure and recovery, since I heard it can be pretty risky. |
starr33 | Feb. 10th is quickly approaching, and have been told by my surgeon I will be under the knife from 4-5 hours. I'm a tad nervous. |
LEXX | {{{hugs}}} Wishing you a safe surgery and full fast recovery. |
starr33 | Back atcha! I'll be out of work for 17 days. Woohoo! |

Frozen Queen | Starr33: I never thought I'd see this but it feels so refreshing to see a thread like this. The media seems to think that as far as breasts are concerned, bigger is always better and all I can say is er, No. Larger cups tend to put a lot of tension on your shoulder and upper back muscles. But such is societal brainwashing, every girl wants to be a D cup or above and breast enlargement is the most common plastic surgery in the US. I personally feel that a B or C cup is great for women. Also when you get pregnant and breastfeed, your breasts naturally grow almost two cup sizes so a boob job is meaningless. Also growth is different in different people. I was an A cup when I entered college four years ago but am a light C cup now and frankly, I'm glad Good luck for your surgery. I hope it is without any complications Star33 ------------------ “S|_UT ” is how we vilify a woman for exercising her right to say “YES”. “FRIENDZONE” is how we vilify a woman for exercising her right to say “NO”. |
