anongrl10 | Sorry Randall it doesn't work for me. I use Chrome, not sure if it makes a difference. No page comes up at all when I press the link; it tries but only gets a white blank page. |
Randall | It may not have been fully integrated yet. Try again. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark |
juniperb | this is what I get: To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.
what is a frame? |
Randall | A frame just means it keeps the URL in the search bar instead of the forwarded URL destination. You can change the security settings on your browser, or I can make it to where it doesn't frame if lots of people have that problem. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Cancer/Scorpio729 | Works great for me |
Randall | Try now, Juni. |
juniperb | it`s magic!! Thank you! ------------------ Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. ~Rumi~

LEXX | Thank you Randall! |
SunChild | Niiiiice!! |
T | What do people search for in here? Or why do they need to turn to LL.com to find out about something..... Usually I go to google if I want more info on a subject..... sometimes LL comes up.... just wondering. |
SunChild | To search a persons history or something I posted long ago but can't find now, or something someone posted a long time ago that I remember but would like to see again, or someone who I recognise and want to refresh. It could be someone dodgy and want to see their history. You'd be amazed what key words against someones user name will bring up. Sometimes I remember so and so posted an article or there was this really magical thread that I vaguely recall and I usually can find it. I find it useful at times. I've always used google with lind-goodman: "keywords/username" and that works too. |
Randall | People who are registered members often prefer LL answers to their questions, because they are already signed up here and can interact on topics they are searching about...and they may have respect for certain people's opinions or feel like they know them more than some random info on the web. But people mostly just want to find strings they remember from the past. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." anongrl10 | Personally I use it to search particular LL discussions. Something I remember I read here but can't easily locate if it's a while back. Some of the discussions we have here are very very good! Google would just return a sea of all sorts of relevant (and not so relevant) matches but if you know you heard it here, you want to search here first! |
SaggiMC | this is such an important feature is it possible to put top of each forum like "How to post your chart"? that way more members would be aware of it's extistance LOL |
SaggiMC | another suggestion. Rather than start a new thread completely. Would it be possible to have email alerts for all threads members respond to as I find it really tedious having to go back manually to see if a member has responded or not..... I know one exists for starting your own thread, so it should be much harder to extend this surely?

Well... I for one do a lot of reminiscing.
|
T | It will come in handy for finding old threads to bump. I usually did a search within google for that anyway. Good to have another option. I'm different in that I have never searched a persons history through old threads of theirs or don't really care about reading what they wrote about in the past and never feel an urge to reminisce. I usually have a good memory or just prefer to keep up with them by what they are currently saying. Sometimes I'll remember a thread someone posted and want to find it again if the info was good and bump it. So, i guess it's nice for people who like to do what SC and Yin do too. |
Randall | Bringing back (or getting) a search engine is the number one request I get. So, people definitely want it. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." T | Must be interesting seeing who is searching for what. I know on my old website, I could view that. |
Randall | Nope, I can't see anything on the LL internal search engine with this software. But this one is Google-based. I have no control over it. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you."
