T O P I C R E V I E WCeridweni feel deeply shocked. Just read that a plane crashed on its way from Barcelona to Germany (Duesseldorf).Yes I know accidents, even tragic ones, happen; but maybe I feel this one so keenly as it hits so close to home. I donīt know. But my thoughts are with those who lost their lives and those who have to learn to live with the aftermath of this tragedy. LeeLoo2014 I didn't know about this, I don't follow the news lately. What a horror! It seems this is the only low-cost European crash.Charmaine Ami Anne ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/CeridwenI was reading the news when checking my email on gmx. No way to be safe from news this way. I know this sounds silly, but after many years of avoiding to board a plane, I finally agreed to do so, for a holiday trip to Cornwall, starting wednesday next week. (with my parents and middle brother). With that airline. I said it must sound silly, and I know that thousands of people fly everyday and land safely, still a tragic accident like that makes one quite aware of the risks. not that I was not aware of them before. But apart from that I just feel for the families being torn apart through this, for the pain of those who are being left behind and for all the things the deceased cannot experience anymore. LeeLoo2014The chances are very slim (1 to 11 millions, increasing though, since there is so much air traffic these days). However, after watching Nat Geo's show about historical plane crashes some years ago and seeing how easily a plane crash may occur (but with a series of unfortunate events, although it must be fate with something like this, almost surreal how they happen), I did develop a slight fear of flying I never had before. At the same time, I think our death moment is predetermined. This is a terrible tragedy! It seems there was also a group of German highschool students with their teachers, during an exchange, on that plane, I can't imagine their parents and the families ...of course, everyone matters there, no matter the age, and it's such a horror to imagine those last moments I can see the plane has completely turned to pieces scattered on those Alps slopes, it's a black and horrifying day.Randall CeridwenLeeloo, I agree with everything you said. And even more, I had hoped so much my gut feeling was wrong that I got when reading the news (and I did not talk about it then cause I did not want to be one of those who are always crying Murder and conspiration, but it does seem more and more that it was not quite an accident but intentional murder (be it for suicidal reasons or maybe with something else in the background; it does not change the horrific outcome of course). But take that with a grain of salt, too, as it is merely speculation on my behalf and the confirmation of the very bad feeling I had.DaniPepper87You saw the news... but I woke up very nervous that morning... The exactly time the plane reported the last help message, I was awaking that time, with a strong impression that something bad would happen... And then I came to work, the first thing I do is to see the news... and there was the plane crash on the first... I was really shocked, this already happened with me. My prayers and light to the families...CeridwenI know what you mean, Dani, I`ve had very bad feeling in my stomach for several days before, which just got worse; to be honest though the bad feeling I have internally has not faded yet, in fact I was feeling very bad (almost panicky) when waking up this morning.Hopefully it is just the emotional aftermath of that tragedy that I for some reason feel more keenly than usual I suppose. DaniPepper87I believe that we are all connected in some form, and for this, we feel what is happening. and I'm 4 hours early from France. But time has no effect here in the spiritual world!! I hope you get better with the stomach!! Now I'm avoiding to see news, the last time I followed an airplane crash was the Air France 447, that was here in Brazil. I really got bad for several days, and at that time they didn't got the black boxes... so I hope you'll be better from now Barbiegirl19Apparently it wasn't an accident but intentional. The copilot purposely crashed the plane. The whole situation makes my heart ache for the families of all those that died on that plane. The world is a scary one. Full of evil and faithless heathens. Aside from that it's also full of great love and hope. Life is so precious, not promised to any of us. We're here and gone before we know it. Life is so precious, I agree with your whole message, but I find it most important to remember this. LeeLoo2014Unbelievable It was weird anyway, with the 8 minutes of silent descent. And very weird for the pilot to exit the cockpit right in the area of the Alps in the first place (and this being a short flight)- it points to an intentional choice of the crash site for whomever did this.Ami AnneTerrorism ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I never have, and never will understand why humans will kill their own kind so selfishly and abruptly. This incident, among with many other recent ones, highlights the fact a pilot should never be left alone in the cockpit. Something that has been discussed is having air marshals in the cockpit to ensure when a pilot is alone they will not try to do anything harmful. It also brings into question are we really investigating the background of pilots' health and mental states enough. But, we cannot live in fear and let such individuals dictate how we want to live our lives. Plane crashes are very rare, especially ones that are intentional crashes. There is always a risk when you decide to fly, but it should never make you lose faith in humanity and be afraid to book a flight. These situations really are a painful reminder that life can end in an instant, and we should strive to appreciate every moment we have on this earth. LeeLoo2014An "unable to work" person flying an Airbus, someone under intense psychiatric treatment for at least 18 months....how can this happen?? It's so difficult, if not impossible, to hide something like this from those tests and a psychologist looking into the person's eyes and listening to them for one hour Simple chronic depression is highly unlikely, IMO, the index for violence and anger in those is very low. There's also the question of medication. It's not just the medical condition, but the effects of psychotropic meds as well, how they alter behavior, which could explain for this person breathing normally till the end (no anxiety at all)
