My first memory is when I was about 5-6yo and I saw this dark shadow of a tall man standing by my bed. His presence was intimating. When I told my mom she brushed it off as a nightmare, but many years later after we have moved, she finally told me she has had similar encounters with a man in that bedroom too. I think this was when I started to fear sleeping although I didn’t have another encounter for years.FF 14yrs I started experiencing sleep paralysis again and more frequently this time. One time I saw a man outside my window staring at me; another time I saw a woman sitting next to my bed; and yet another time I felt someone putting their hands on my shoulders, pressing me down. I also had an OBE one time. I dreamt that I was in a building and I took the lift up. When the door opened, I saw vampires so I quickly took the lift down again. When the lift door opened, I dashed out and found myself in my bedroom. I saw myself on the bed and a woman in black squatting in a corner. Before I could react, my soul went into my body and I woke up, paralysed, the woman was still in the corner. My current bedroom is now safe but I still get weird experiences when I sleep elsewhere.@Ami Anne, How do you do OBE? Is there a possibility your soul may not return if you do it too often? I’m thinking of the movie ‘Insidious’. 😅 GalacticCoreExplosionV2 My experience/guidance with S.P. leads me to think that most sleep paralysis is about when the Soul has phased just into the more etheric level of their energy system, but near the border of the physical, and they think they are fully connected to the body (but aren't in actuality). After a little while, the soul/consciousness adjusts the connections and connects more fully to the body again and hence we can move same. It's sort of like if have a full electrical current going through a machine, but then you damp down the electrical connection, the machine won't work/move properly, but when full current contact is again made, it moves fine. A pretty clumsy (and inaccurate) analogy but it's hard to explain this stuff in clear and concrete terms. Anyways, it's nothing to fear. And we tend to see/perceive more stuff while in this state, because of the fact that we are not completely fully physically focused, but some part of us is focusing on/in the nonphysical. Hence we perceive more of what's there nonphysically. That stuff (and more) is there all the time, just that normally we don't perceive it clearly. This is the principle of vibrational resonation in relation to perception. Anyways, nothing to fear or be worried about. One of my more unusual and intense experiences involved me waking up in the middle of the night to some sounds in our apt and thinking that someone had broken in. Anyways, didn't turn out to be a human, but a 8 foot or so tall non human (ET) being that approached me as I was experiencing sleep paralysis. I went from very clearly perceiving this being and not being able to move my body, to the next instant, not perceiving it at all and being able to move my body. Probably because of the fear I was experiencing, I got more fully grounded in the physical body. But in hindsight, I don't think that being was doing it to me, or that it was anything to fear. I later asked a professional intuitive and she said she felt it was one of my guides/teachers. Not so surprising that a formerly ET Soul, would have corresponding ET guides/helpers to some extent. you can also lucid dream from that point it depends on whether or not you go out of or into yourself once you're in that state
i've done both several times over the years but generally i wake myself up, i've had sleep paralysis for as long as i can remember rather frequently too and no matter how often it happens i've never been able to get used to it or stop the anxiety that can come with it
what's strange is i've noticed that what i've seen during sleep paralysis is dependent on where i've fallen asleep
for example in one apartment i lived in i always saw a woman in white, she'd be dripping wet and cold and she'd try to whisper in my ear but i could never hear her
every time i had sleep paralysis in that apartment without fail i would see her, but only while i was living there and not if i slept at someone else's house or anything
in my ex's mother's house it would be a man in a blue flannel shirt and that went on for years there and only there
the woman in white was particularly unsettling though, i woke up once with bruises around my wrist, fingerprints like someone had grabbed me (they were spaced that way, 5 of them)
i couldn't have done it myself because of where the thumb was and my ex couldn't have because her hands were too big
had a roommate who was into ghost hunting and she actually got evp of a woman laughing in that apartment and her emf detector went off during a seance she wanted to have (she may still have a video of her and my ex arguing with me about how neither of them was saying "no" but there was a voice before i asked which one of them was whispering and saying it just before that actually saying it)
i barely slept living there, it was like a nightmare on elm street movie just trying to stay awake as long as possible and setting alarms so i couldnt sleep long if i did sleep
where i'm living now it isn't like that at least
Which era would you guys go to---if you could?
