unconscious honey | For those of you practicing agelessness, what do you all say when somebody asks you how old you are? |
LEXX | I do not lie about my chronological age ever. Most people guess me as much younger than my soon to be 54 years in body this incarnation.------------------ It is not about waiting for storms to pass...it is about learning to dance in the rain! __________________________________________________________________________ |
Randall | I always lie. But if we talk for a while, my wisdom gives me away to be older. I need to learn to be less smart. LOL But people see what they want to see. I just make their perceptions more defined by giving them a "number" to focus on, and then they start to "see" me as the age I state and rarely question it. So many people are fixated on age in this society. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz |
unconscious honey | I can give you a lesson any day ! |
Rubina | me too I usually lie or else I get them to guess and they guess way younger and I tell them 'great guess' lol. when people ask my age they're not asking what my specific physical age is so I tell them how young I feel, how young I am mentally and spiritually~ makes me feel good. plus I eat a raw vegan diet which is a miracile in its own right. I love myself very much which help alot too |

fieryscales | It depends...LOL |

katatonic | for years i refused to give ANY age. it really stumped people. then i started saying oh, 285, or something. THAT always made them think i was a fraid to admit my age!! when you have kids it is harder to keep evading the question which is asking for a "normal" answer. i know i twigged at around 10 that my mom had been 32 for a LONG time. however i have told all "my" kids that i will be around till i am at least 150... |
good girl | My problem with giving an age is that people are biased and no matter how young you look, they will think your old and creepy if your too old. In fact the older you are in proportion to your youthful looks, the creepier it will seem. And honestly, my looking 25 at ,say, 70, is less creepy that someone else. If I met a 70 year old man who looked 25, I can't say I'd be comfortable with that. I think you'd have to get to a certain point before it becomes "normal". Know what I mean? |
katatonic | my mom always insisted that a "lady" was not obliged to answer the age question!! and that polite people would not ask it either..."32 again" is a good one though..tells people where to get off, politely. my daughter is 25 and i would not want to be seen to be that age any more. i keep asking here, how long people have been youthing and has it taken years off your appearance, do you act like a young nincompoop, what is your experience... someday someone will answer me i hope; everyone is so vague and cagey here where i would expect more openness,, i know lexx says she is 54 and looks 25, but that is not really my question. tho the process is probably a little different for everyone, i am interested in others actual experiences. here of all places would be the place to encourage by example? |
MAKLHOUF | Good girl has given the truest answer, I would say. |
Julah | I talk my way around it. |
LEXX | I do not give a hoot about age. I am now 55. A healthy body and mind is what I find more valuable.katatonic quote: i know lexx says she is 54 and looks 25
I am 55 now, and definitely do not look 25! LOL! I would not say that! I feel I look my age, but I really do not mind. I just wish I were not disabled and overweight. Working the weight down however! Me at age 25. Me at age 55...150 pounds heavier than at 25. I do not look 25 anymore, but that is OK.------------------ Everyone is a teacher... Everyone is a student...
