T O P I C R E V I E WbeccathelionSo... this one time I decided to learn horary, and wow, let's just say I am not so great at it. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at this chart and sort of walk me through the answers or what they see? Nothing in-depth by any means. Just enough to give me some training wheels? I've been trying to do it myself all morning, and I'm tripping up more than a ballerina with broken toes. Little bit frustrating. I can trade a tarot reading!!! AshSkyeThe horary ascendant is at zero degrees which means that it's too early to ask the questionEmpressMendezThe ascendant is too early (so it means too early to tell). I can still try and help you with some basic things, but I still have a lot to learn. But this chart to me is not good with the layout and the orbs. If you can post a plain chart that would be great Edit - Heh, me and ash posted at the same time beccathelionokay! someone said to add all that on a website, so i will get rid of them right now and repost the chart!! i would love any help you could offer. i am really interested in this as a form. quote:Originally posted by EmpressMendez:The ascendant is too early (so it means too early to tell). If you can post a plain chart that would be great beccathelionokay!!! newly updated chart, awaaaaayyy!!! i get as far as i'm the querent, so i'm represented by the ascendant, and the quisited is a job move... so it's going to be represented by 6th house, therefore virgo... so in turn, mercury? yeah? i think?EmpressMendezRising sign is Capricorn ruled by Saturn..so this is you. Saturn in 10th house of success, career..good position and in Libra it's very good.I looked at the 3rd house for your question it seems like communications and writings? I could be wrong, but it's ruled by Jupiter.Jupiter represents what your question is about. It's in the 6th house in Gemini (kind of weak). Then I should ask, do you have a job that limits you from writing?? It interferes with it somewhat?Ruler of Gemini is Mercury in Libra applying trine by 10 between the two. It looks good, but Jupiter for some reason looks a bit weak since Gemini isn't Jupiter's best placement as far as signs go.Saturn your main sig is exalted in Libra, but I take Jupiter as your other sig, but it's weak. Some issue with your job limiting you from writing (or something along those lines), but otherwise I believe this would have been a positive answer. But since the ascendant is early then it's really too early to ask. Some people say you can ask again within 3 months, others say you should ask when some changes pertaining the situation occur, while others say you shouldn't ask again at all. I believe the second is the most reasonable option.I hope that is somewhat clear? Ask questions if you are confused beccathelionso essentially you look at the querent, the question's house, and the question's theme? or at least something in that ballpark. i am finishing my last year of a master's degree in a writing trade that is NOT film/tv/documentary... which is what I want to be in, so in some ways, yes, it's been reductive and problematic. how did you get gemini making it a blockage? is that just something that comes with time or is it because gemini is more flippant than jupiter? i guess that's where i get tripped up the most. how you interpret. ps: thank you so so so much for helping me!!! quote:Originally posted by EmpressMendez:Rising sign is Capricorn ruled by Saturn..so this is you. I think you know each sign's rulers right?)The question's house and the theme yes. If you read about Jupiter in Gemini it says it's detrimental for some reason. Jupiter can't expand in Gemini (not sure why, but there are a lot of articles about it). So, yes I guess your master's is what is limiting you currently. And do you finish that in 10 months? or the timing is telling you to ask again within 10 months.Check this site out, it explains some things (and this is where I get the timing method from) http://www.moonvalleyastrologer.com/horary-astrology/ You are welcome. You can ask more if you want. I learned on this forum just by practicing on charts trying to interpret, plus some reading here and there. But mainly I learned from others here! lol. I annoyed many people with my horary charts just because I was trying to learn . It's very confusing at first, but if you keep trying it should take a couple of months to start getting the hang of it EmpressMendez http://episthemologie.wordpress.com/2009/01/14/reception-and-aspects-in-horary/ This is good to explain reception (the way you don't understand Jupiter in Gemini) this will explain a little about that beccathelionwow. that's actually sort of creepy. i finish in almost exactly ten months. i'm turning my thesis in at the beginning of august '13. is that because of the trine? i'm a little weirded out if that's the case. and thank you so much for the links. i found one of skyscript -- it's good, but, i get a little turned around with the more heady language and approach of the terms. i think i can start small with these without my head bursting. quote:Originally posted by EmpressMendez:Yes the rising sign is always you (ruler of cap is saturn. It's actually 9 months from now (woops).I hope those helps. I would love a reading if you have the time (well, you can take your time). My question is what should I expect in my love life between September 29th and October 15th?I might have missed ruler of 10th house is Venus in 8th and it makes an applying sextile to Jupiter as well. Another good sign! So you should definitely ask after you graduate Thanks beccathelion quote:Originally posted by EmpressMendez:Lol, yes Becca! It's because of the trine (Jupiter trine Mercury) . I am trying to figure out what it means to me. The 8 is all about moving on, and if I had to guess, it would be from a situation that isn't not exactly what you'd pictured overall. The 10 reversed is indicative of divorce and familial discord. A break-up, maybe... but this isn't a bad thing. The 4 is all about celebration and joy, parties, and while marriage is often represented, I think here it is more of a social outing. They tie together with the 6 of Wands -- victory and joy, a renewed and healthy sense of ego, pride, and vitality. If I had to say, I think in between those dates, you're going to maybe walk away from something that's been holding you back, and you'll feel surprisingly better, stronger, and happier than you'd ever expect. Does any of that make sense? They felt a little off to me. Very scattered and anxious. It could be that they represent three possibilities: moving on quietly, breaking up dramatically, or being successful... all related to you choice and your inner desire. I say, regardless, be yourself, be bold, and don't take any sh*t. Own it Hopes this helps at all <3EmpressMendezThanks Becca. I think it's telling me that I will refuse an offer made to me regarding a relationship that I won't think is committed enough. It shows that I will be happy with my decision, lol.I will keep you updated about what it might be beccathelion quote:Originally posted by EmpressMendez:Thanks Becca.
