T O P I C R E V I E WasclibrasagsunWhat does the seven of cups mean in the future position? Can anyone clarify?Been looking on all websites but just cannot pin down the meaningThank youbeccathelionI personally would read this as the chance, in the future, to make a ton of choices, but you have to take care that it's the right one. I also always feel a lot of hesitance with this particular card, like the options and situation itself will be overwhelming and sort of unsettling. Without knowing the other cards, I can't say what exactly it would mean in that spot. I would think that in the future, whatever you were reading for, you're gonna have to be careful when it comes to the situation. Really listen to your inner voice and evaluate all the options before choosing one. Do your homework sort of thing. Hope that helps. asclibrasagsun quote:Originally posted by beccathelion:I personally would read this as the chance, in the future, to make a ton of choices, but you have to take care that it's the right one. Kind. Are you with him right now in a romantic setting or thinking about being in it? If I was reading the King and then the Seven, I would maybe think something is not exactly right in a relationship involving the King, or at least, it will slowly become that way, leaving you (or whoever you asked the question for) wondering if they should leave. For whatever reason, it also seems like maybe... he becomes an annoyance. A slow slipping of respect for him. The other person will want to move on, but not sure if they'll land "anyone better." It's sort a of weird vibe I'm getting, but take that with a grain of salt asclibrasagsun quote:Originally posted by beccathelion: The court cards, for me, more often than not represent people in our lives that are affecting us. This is saturated in a lot of heaviness and sadness, and it's a hard thing to go through. The Knight reversed says to me, as the issue, that nothing's going on with the Special Someone. Stagnation. Confusion. Unexpected hiccups. When it's crossed with Judgment reversed, it seems you or both of you are staying in this situation (which has inevitably seemed on the cusp of becoming a relationship...) because there's a refusal to let the Universe take its course and separate you two. The reason for all this, again, is the Hermit reversed, which is either an overabundance of self (and situation) analysis (the mind running away with itself) or a total lack of seeing the situation for what it is -- I feel strongly it is a bit of both. The past was the Three of Swords. Either this person has hurt you before, and it's been an upward climb to get back to where you were together before, or it was someone else who has colored the way you perceive relationships. The way you feel about this situation says it all: Ten of Cups reversed. You're not seeing this as the happily ever after you might have once. I keep getting crossed wires on whether or not this is a romance or a familial relationship -- or if it was something tinged with romance that fell into a deep "we've known each other forever" friend-zone that was rife with sexual tension. It's cozy, but... not quite together. But since you are starting to see the situation in a new light, it comes down to the Two of Pentacles -- a choice. Notice how it's not the Two of Swords (which usually, for me, deals with matters of the heart). Here, it takes on the characteristics of doing what is best for yourself, given you are starting to feel held back not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. This means you aren't totally blinded by your emotions, and instead now have the tools to make a rational decision based on facts (unlike the Two of Swords patroness, who is blindfolded, refusing to see.) You see yourself as the King of Wands reversed. No more fire and pep. No real dreams anymore. There's a smolder underneath that wants to get out. The environment, Six of Swords, is condusive to moving on and finding yourself again. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. You learned lessons; you grew. Take those with you, and you'll be even better. Be thankful; try not to dwell on the negative. Every chapter has to end sometime. The advice: Knight of Cups reversed. Here is where I begin to see this as a love relationship, and the advice says it is time to stop offering your heart to this person. If they took it, it would be detrimental to you as a person, and the overall outcome, is the Lovers reversed. That's pretty self-explanatory. This isn't them, and what's even harder is that this is causing a great deal of unbalanced thinking, acting, and just... existing in your world. Now, because that's altogether not what I would want to hear, I pulled three cards to suggest what will happen if you do move on, and they were: Knight of Cups, the Chariot (r), and the King of Wands. (And let me say, I am an insane shuffler. It can take me almost five minutes sometimes to get them feeling ready. My friends complain... so this is actually really cool to me!) The Knight in the upright here says you will be able to give your heart to someone who deserves it, and not only that, but they will give theirs to you as well. I definitely see an offer coming. It may take a couple months, but it is out there in the wings of the Universe, stewing in the pot. The Chariot (r) is a cautionary card; it says don't let all this anger and pain swell up in you and come out at Gatling gun fire speed at the Special Someone... and you'll want to. Harboring ill will only hurts the person who keeps it. It's definitely a time to listen to your inner voice and remain positive. Tactful. Sort of chance to see how graceful you can remain under fire... because I feel like you guys either work together or are in position where you see each other a lot for reasons other than hanging out. Finally, the King of Wands... you're gonna start feeling like yourself again, and that's amazing. I mean, seriously. I shuffled for a good two minutes before I dropped these. If anything, this is such an affirmation to me that it's time to pick up and head out to the person that really is waiting for you. Hope this helps. Sorry it's so long. Let me know if I can clarify anything!Oh my gosh you are really good, I TRULY MEAN IT. I am so sorry I did not see your post earlier so I went ahead and started a new thread in the forum and if you read the situation I described there it really makes sense with your reading. I feel like I am actually ready to move one but at the same time he and I will see each other a lot anyways (no way going around this) so it will be difficult...I really wish I could patch things up with him just so that it would go back to be at least a friendship but he seems so "hurt" by whatever that at this time I feel like he is not accepting of anything. At the same time it has only been a few days so maybe I am too quick. The real issue is that I truly loved him and gave him my heart. I cared about him so much. I loved him unconditionally. He knew this and got used to it. He is married by the way. We never had a physical relationship but more of an emotional one where we shared everything with each other. It was truly sweet but because it was never consummated I grew sick and tired of waiting for him to make a move on me and return the love. I met him about 1.5 years ago....so you can imagine that this was a long time for me to wait. He was my everything. But now, especially after this argument and how he reacted and the things he said - I do not think that I have anymore sweet feelings left for him. I feel absolutely NOTHING, in fact. Absolutely nothing. At the same time, I feel extremely liberated but chained too because I do not know if I will meet anyone else soon for whom I will develop the same exact amazing feelings for. And I am picky, I have Virgo Moon. But also I do not meet special people like this often. I must add that I have been completely disillusioned by this whole relationship. I used to have so much hope that we would be together one day, that it was so good and that we would unite....but now I just have this weird feeling that it is all in the past and that this part of my life is over. It is really painful and shocking. Of course, on the other hand - I want to be treated like an equal and I do not want someone to constantly wipe their feet on me by lying and disrespecting me at any chance they get. It is ridiculous. I hope you understand what I am going through....I just feel like there will never be happiness again.
Can anyone clarify?
Been looking on all websites but just cannot pin down the meaning
Thank you

This is a tough situation, and in advance, I'd like to say I'm sorry. This is saturated in a lot of heaviness and sadness, and it's a hard thing to go through.
