T O P I C R E V I E WDeepFreezeI'm really curious about one aspect that's been difficult for me to research. It's about marsMarsIn virgoIn 12thConjunct ascendant (asc is Libra)conjunct mercury (virgo)Square moon (Gemini)Trine Jupiter (Taurus)Asc is conjunct Pluto in libraThe main thing is how Mars is expressed in the 12th. How it shows in the asc when it's both in the 12th and in a different sign. Thanks! DeepFreezeBump!! LostTaurusOkay, I can only offer VERY limited insight regarding the Mars placement and my perception of its service, but maybe it will help a little anyway...The 12th is (among other things) the house of karmic debt-paying. I would _think_ that a Mars placement could serve you quite well or horribly as such, because it is the planet of action. Well if you're evolved enough to analyze and examine before taking leaps; very poorly if you're not. With that placement, I'd guess that your karmic task has to do in part with learning to harness foresight/insight/wisdom as a balance for action.Hope this helps a little, anyway. DeepFreezeThank you very much! That makes sense about the 12th. maybe i could have some karmic debt to settle that requires action - physically or whatever. I am curious how it affects the asc, how it might be seen by others, how it affects interaction with others, the physical body. Particularly being in the 12th and a different sign. - Virgo. starmoongenerally when you have a personal planet conjunct to the ASC the person comes across very "what you see is what you get." a nice conjunction to your ASC from a personal planet in the same sign "aligns" who you are in others' eyes and you seem more genuine. my opinion would be that an out-of-sign conjunction to your ASC might have the opposite effect; that you're hiding things (even when, perhaps, you are not). you'd lack that genuine quality to others, and perhaps come across more secritive/quiet. the good thing is that libra/virgo are fairly similar in many ways and they co-exist alongside each other well. the 12th house has a habit of inhibiting whatever sign is in there to some degree; so with mars in the 12th your "action" self might be inhibited; you might take a long time to make decisions, think things over too cautiously, etc., or you might be the reverse and act too hastily. the conjunction to pluto/asc and the mars if you have it would be a good combination for action though, so even with mars in the 12th I'd expect you're fairly determined and motivatedstarmoonAstro keenHi Deepfreeze,My son has the same placements as you - Mars in 12th Virgo, widely conjunct Libra Asc, but conj Venus in Virgo, not Mercury. Just to reassure you, he is one of life's winners. Didn't start out that way, as he seemed to be a vey anxious child but somehow transformed into a high achieving, confident, likeable and successful young man. The thing that demarcates him from others is how much he is liked and trusted by a large circle of friends and colleagues. I can't figure out how 12th house placements feature in his life!Pluto conj Asc should endow you with power and sexual magnetism, particularly if it is conjunct Mars.DeepFreezeWow, both of you are very accurate. I wasn't sure, but now that you mention those things it does make sense. It's mostly with what I say that people suspect that I'm not being completely honest. Strange that I'm rarely ever NOT honest. I'm a very forward person. I find what I say is often taken as I'm "hinting" or hiding something. Then, on those very rare occasions where I may not be telling the whole truth or stretching it a touch (usually to protect myself) then nothing is questioned. It's completely accepted. I've always found that to be very very strange. I was shy and quiet as a kid and very afraid to speak publicly, do things in gym class, etc. As I get older I have become much more assertive, on occasion even aggressive you could say. (I am Leo Sun also) It all makes sense. Thank you so much for answering me. Oh... here's the degrees of Mars, Pluto, and Asc. Asc 5 libraPluto 9 Libra Mars 27 Virgo Sandra018I have a Mars in Aries in 12th and I don't feel its too blocked.Maybe because its conjunct Sun and then it has an opposition to Pluto( which also gives it more power/strength)The only think I notice is that Mars is not overly direct at first, def a lil shy, but I also don't shy away from a confrontation, and def have the resilience to persevere..I sometimes wonder what it d be like to have a Mars in Aries in the 1st house..that d probably be too much to handle lol haha
