T O P I C R E V I E WLunaeHey everyone! This is my new birth chart, since the birth time on my certificate was wrong all along. If someone would be kind enough to provide external input, I'd gladly appreciate it. bonsai quote:Originally posted by Lunae:Hey everyone! This is my new birth chart, since the birth time on my certificate was wrong all along. If someone would be kind enough to provide external input, I'd gladly appreciate it. I'll try if it's OK? I'm not an expert on reading charts but if you're asking what kind of personality you may have from your birth chart I can try to take a stab. With your new chart, it shows that your Mercury is conjunct your Ascendant in Sagittarius. This indicates someone who is gregarious and outgoing when meeting new people, but you also may have a quicksilver air about you, like you have a slightly nervous, high-strung energy and may not be able to sit still for long, even if you very well can do that. But once people get to know you better, they'll see that this isn't you at all. To me you seem to be a very serious person and need depth in your life. Lots of depth. You may appear to share a lot about yourself due to your Sag ascendant, but you don't really. You only share the superficial bits that you feel safe giving away. You're not a what-you-see-is-what-you-get person. You also have your Sun, Pluto and Mars tightly conjunct one another, and in Scorpio. When I see that, it looks like someone who is extreeeeemely intense and may even be aggressive. Basically you're not someone who is to be crossed. I notice that all your planets are direct (heck, even your North Node is direct and that's uncommon!), so your expression is projected outward, but what also makes it a bit contradictory is that, even though your Mars and Pluto are in the 11th house, they're quite close to the 12th house, the house of the unconscious, or what lies beneath the conscious. So you may want to look at descriptions of those planets in the 12th house. Your Sun is in the 12th house, so not only are you a person of extreme intensity, but it's also extremely deep and hidden, and maybe you're not always even aware of things that happen within you yourself, which kind of contradicts the outward projection of your direct planets. Or maybe you may outwardly project a certain way to the outside world but may not always understand why you felt or reacted the way you did, because you are a bit of a mystery to you. I guess maybe a lesson is to learn and understand why you have the reactions or feelings you have, by connecting with your unconscious in some way and making sense of yourself.Erm, your Saturn is in the second house, so you may be someone who takes your security and comfort extremely seriously. You don't want the ground to be yanked from below you, making you airborne, as that'll make the world you know and are familiar with go all topsy turvy and that may make you feel extremely vulnerable and you may panic. You need that security, and you need to also feel grounded, you need that tangibility in life that you know and even created for yourself to calm you. Maybe you're the type who needs to have a lot of money (quite above average) in your bank account for a rainy day, just to feel secure. What is also interesting is that your moon is in the third house, so while you are an intense person with great depth and are probably very secretive, you also feel emotionally secure if you can find someone to express these thoughts and feelings with, but I guess given your nature, you won't do that with just anyone, and the moon is a rather private luminary by itself anyway, where people don't show their moon to anyone but only those closest to them. So it's very important for you to find someone who understands your depth, not just superficially, but really gets it and reciprocates, and whom you feel truly comfortable opening up to without it being used against you later on or slapped back in your face. It will make you feel emotionally fulfilled if you can find that person/people to make sense of what lies deep within you. Maybe even communicating about it and having it mirrored back to you may help you to connect with your unconscious and make sense of what makes you tick. If you try to open up to someone about it but they give non-committal responses, you'll feel silly and vulnerable for having put yourself out there and won't want to open up to them again. You do long to communicate to get things off your chest, but you want to make sure you can really trust the person. The moon being in Pisces makes you rather intuitive and emotional, so I think you'll even be able to sense to some extent whom you can or can't open up to, so in that way you can shield yourself from opening up to the wrong people too often. So with this placement you can get chatty, but the difference is it'll be about deep things, and not superficial subjects that you share due to Sag ascendant. Also, you have Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn in the first house. The first house being the house of self. Even though the first house is ruled by Sagittarius, your self image may be more of a serious nature, but I'm not too sure. However, given the nature of the planets, Uranus and Neptune, Uranus may give you a sort of non-conformist image, while Neptune can make you appear more detached and dreamy. But because they're both in Capricorn, there's a more serious air about that self-image.Jupiter in 9th, it's in its dignity (right word?) there and well at home. Seems to be a really great position in terms of traveling to far places and even education overseas. You'll feel like you'll truly expand yourself and your horizons if you undertake that, or exploring the spiritual or religious. Exploring that may help you become more self aware and you may feel yourself grow through the spiritual/religious realm.Feel free to let me know if what I said wasn't right. I'm no expert and have trouble trying to understand my own chart as it is. But I guess it's exercise. I'm not good with aspects so someone else might be able to weigh in more with that, or even correct what I said. Lunae quote:I'll try if it's OK? I'm not an expert on reading charts but if you're asking what kind of personality you may have from your birth chart I can try to take a stab. Yes it's ok. Thank you so much for your time. quote: With your new chart, it shows that your Mercury is conjunct your Ascendant in Sagittarius. If I don't like someone, I usually make sure that person knows. No time for niceties, unless really needed. And yes, I am a bit high-strung and nervous but I always attributed that to my previous chart's Gemini Ascendant, with ruler in the 6H. quote: You also have your Sun, Pluto and Mars tightly conjunct one another, and in Scorpio. I am intense, yes. Sometimes, people think I'm angry because of the way I speak. Also, based on the gist of this paragraph, I have a very contradicting personality, which is true. Scorpio sun is in the 12th, but its rulers are in the 11th.Also, what do you mean when you said that my NN is direct..? I've always thought it was retrograde, even without the symbol. quote: Or maybe you may outwardly project a certain way to the outside world but may not always understand why you felt or reacted the way you did, because you are a bit of a mystery to you. I guess maybe a lesson is to learn and understand why you have the reactions or feelings you have, by connecting with your unconscious in some way and making sense of yourself. That happens to me a LOT. I still am a bit of a mystery to me. I'm always trying to discover and rediscover myself. quote: Erm, your Saturn is in the second house, so you may be someone who takes your security and comfort extremely seriously. I value connections that run deep. Yes, I do like talking about how I feel, but at the same time, I also have trouble expressing it. Now it really is apparent, especially that my moon is part of a T-square. quote:Also, you have Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn in the first house. The first house being the house of self. But because they're both in Capricorn, there's a more serious air about that self-image.Well, I am a bit of a nonconformist but I guess that's not just how I express myself, but also my beliefs. About being dreamy... I've always thought it was because of the 9H moon almost conjunct the 10H in my previous chart. There was this thread a while back where people had to predict a person's big 3 through pictures and people mostly got Pisces right. Maybe it's because I also have Neptune in the 1st, apparently. However, none of these (including my Sag ascendant) would point to a resting ***** face, right? quote:Jupiter in 9th, it's in its dignity (right word?) there and well at home. Seems to be a really great position in terms of traveling to far places and even education overseas. I've always loved traveling and yes, I'm going to work and study abroad. I've always felt like I'm not meant to stay in just one place, like traveling is part of me. At the same time, I also want to be grounded and have a secure life for me and my family. In my previous chart, I always thought this was because of my 9H moon, which brings the spirit of 'home' wherever it goes. The moon is all about being rooted in your beginnings, right? quote:You'll feel like you'll truly expand yourself and your horizons if you undertake that, or exploring the spiritual or religious. Exploring that may help you become more self aware and you may feel yourself grow through the spiritual/religious realm. On the contrary, I'm not quite religious (I'm agnostic lol) but I am striving to be spiritual. Those are two different things. I try to open myself to broader horizons that is not restricted by the boundaries of religion. I believe there is a force above us all, something we don't fully understand, and that's where I'm gearing towards. I feel that enlightenment comes if you open yourself to the vastness of it all. Sadly though, I am still very worldly. That is my ultimate goal, though. To make my spirit healthy.I guess I'm ranting now lol. Sorry about that. I got carried away. I thought my previous 9H moon was responsible for that. You know, being interested in all things mystical and occult. quote:Feel free to let me know if what I said wasn't right. I'm no expert and have trouble trying to understand my own chart as it is. But I guess it's exercise. I'm not good with aspects so someone else might be able to weigh in more with that, or even correct what I said. That was a very good reading, thank you! It helped me make sense of my chart. I don't want to think I'm adjusting to it, but a lot of these placements really does make sense.Question though, isn't the left half of the chart the side that is geared 'inward'? Like, it's more about self-expression than expression towards others? I feel like that resonates with me more, because in my previous chart, most of my planets were on the right half of the chart. Also, do you want me to post my old chart for reference? bonsai quote:Originally posted by Lunae:That last line really resonates with me. I don't reveal everything, but I try to deal with everyone as honestly as possible. If I don't like someone, I usually make sure that person knows. No time for niceties, unless really needed. And yes, I am a bit high-strung and nervous but I always attributed that to my previous chart's Gemini Ascendant, with ruler in the 6H.That's the thing with chart readings, a lot of aspects or positions could have similar effects. For instance, before you believed your Mercury was in the 6th house (the house, which belongs to Virgo, Virgo also being ruled by Mercury), now it's conjunct your Ascendant, which could give your Ascendant a Mercurial tinge. I guess it might be worth asking people what their initial impression of you was when they first met you and see if they say things like "You had a restless energy about you etc etc". A Sagittarius ascendant seems to also not be afraid to let people know the truth about what they think of them, as it's the sign of bluntness too.I am intense, yes. Sometimes, people think I'm angry because of the way I speak. Also, based on the gist of this paragraph, I have a very contradicting personality, which is true. Scorpio sun is in the 12th, but its rulers are in the 11th.Also, what do you mean when you said that my NN is direct..? I've always thought it was retrograde, even without the symbol.Actually, I may have been mistaken about NN being direct. Normally when a planet is retrograde, it has a small 'r' symbol next to it on astro.com, and I didn't see that next to your NN, which made me think it was direct (which is quite rare), but then I had a look at my own, which I know is retrograde, and it didn't have the 'r' symbol next to it either. However, on the topic of North nodes, yours is quite interesting because you have two planets tightly conjunct it, especially Uranus, which is practically sitting right on top of it! Now I'm sure you already know that North Node is our destiny, and while I'm not quite sure about what effects Neptune conjunct NN has, I've read a little bit more about Uranus conjunct NN because my tUranus is conjunct mine currently, and so I was interested to read what it meant for me. From what I understood, unexpected, erratic changes and shake-ups happen that (in Uranus's own weird way) will work towards somehow getting you onto the path of your destiny. For me it's just a transit thing, but for you it may be the theme of your life. Will you some days just wake up and go "I feel like travelling to this country next week for some reason!" or out of the blue "I want to learn Capoeira. I feel I need to do it."? For instance, with my tUranus conjunct NN, suddenly I was in the news and on the radio for some injustice done to me (which worked out in my favour), and I also decided almost all of a sudden to get a youth mobility visa to travel to the other side of the world to work just from one suggestion made to me in passing, and I'll be making the move next January. Why? Don't know, I just felt I need to do it.Oh yeah, and you have Jupiter tightly trine your NN too, which I'd imagine would be extremely beneficial for you in reaching your destiny. Seems you will have a lot of help from planets in one form or another to shape your NN.This is true. I don't really like to be pulled out of my comfort zone, but I can suck it up when needed. I've also attributed this to the dominance of fixed signs in my chart. You could be right about that too. You have three placements in Scorpio, and Scorpio also likes to feel a sense of security like their Capricorn counterparts. Fixed in their ways. But on the other hand Aquarius is also a fixed sign, and they're all about being outside their comfort zone (some could argue that constantly being outside their comfort zone IS their comfort zone, but I digress). So Scorps are protective of their privacy and want to have control over things (there's good and bad in that), but I think Saturn in 2nd, another fixed house, may add to that too. If I remember correctly, whichever house Saturn is in is the house where we have the most insecurities or fears, or limit ourselves somewhat. Come to think of it, Saturn in 2nd house could also be interpreted as someone who has constant struggles or fears about money and security. I guess there are a few schools of thought.I don't really need a lot of money, generally speaking, but I am working towards an abundant savings account, yes. You never know what might happen. LolI hear ya girl, me too .That last sentence definitely rings true. I value connections that run deep. Yes, I do like talking about how I feel, but at the same time, I also have trouble expressing it. Now it really is apparent, especially that my moon is part of a T-square.Yes, T-square could add to the trouble. I too have my moon in a T-square with Venus and Jupiter (it forms a square to both, albeit rather loose squares), and I can have problems showing affection, even though I may love affection a lot, but I often struggle to initiate it. I don't have much trouble explaining or expressing myself though. I think your struggles to express yourself may also be due to the fact that you sometimes puzzle over why you react the way you do (being a mystery to yourself), in addition to it being in a T-square. Like my T-square, yours is a mutable one, which is generally the easiest one to deal with, but it can also create a lot of restlessness and indecisiveness, and in your T-square, Mercury is the point of focus, because while the other two planets (moon and Jupiter) have squares and an opposition, Mercury's opposition aspect is missing, which would have been in the 6th house, and if you had an opposition there, you'd have had a grand cross. Maybe that's why you feel a high-strung energy that runs deeper than initial meet and greets? Because Mercury is the central part of your T-square.Well, I am a bit of a nonconformist but I guess that's not just how I express myself, but also my beliefs. About being dreamy... I've always thought it was because of the 9H moon almost conjunct the 10H in my previous chart. Maybe it's because I also have Neptune in the 1st, apparently. However, none of these (including my Sag ascendant) would point to a resting ***** face, right? Hehe, I honestly don't know what kind of aspects or placements would have such a face .It is interesting that people thought you were Pisces, but I wonder if planets that are in the first house are planetary vibes that an individual gives off to others? It is, after all, the house of self. But it's strange that people thought Pisces and not Aquarius, as Uranus is there too, and they both have pretty much the same aspects to the same planets. It's possible that people might have thought Pisces because you have your Sun (your essence) in the 12th house. Just throwing it out there.I've always loved traveling and yes, I'm going to work and study abroad. Well, it seems that in your previous chart, your Jupiter and Moon were swapped right around, and either way, both your 3rd and 9th houses were occupied. Moon in 9th house could very well bring the spirit of the home no matter where you are. Like the "home is where you hang your hat" feeling, but Jupiter is in its element in the 9th house, so I'd imagine Jupiter thrives there and truly feels at home there, so both placements (moon in 9th house and Jupiter in 9th house) could have similar but not necessarily identical effects in that respect. To make my spirit healthy.Yeah, I shouldn't have said religious/spiritual, i should have said religious or spiritual as that was what I meant. They are indeed different things, but they both deal with belief in something greater than us out there so I guess that's why I lumped them like that lol. What you're describing is characteristic of someone who wants to truly expand themselves and transcend the mere physical aspects of life, and it seems you feel the need to do that to evolve to the next stage. You have a desire to actually understand more of the Whole in this life, which is most excellent. Lots of people are happy to entirely make do without either religion or spirituality, which is also fine. No problem .To be honest I haven't heard about the left half of the chart being geared inward. That doesn't mean that that isn't the case, it's just that I'm still learning. But I heard that when planets are retrograde, their powers are turned inward, and people become more introspective with matters related to that retrograde planet. But none of yours are retrograde, so your planets are able to operate more freely and express themselves more easily. From what I remember, though, the first four star signs are personal signs, the next four are interpersonal, and the last 4 are transpersonal. I'm guessing this can be translated to the houses too. Yours is interesting in that your chart is comprised entirely of personal and transpersonal houses being occupied, and the interpersonal houses being empty (unless you count the south node in 7th house and Chiron in 8th house). I'm not sure what implications that has, but it's intriguing, and maybe someone else could weigh in on it.Also, do you want me to post my old chart for reference?Feel free to post your old one. This might be aimed at uncovering one’s true nature after it had been disguised by overlays of past habits and distortionsfrom things not particularly well executed."That really resonates with me as well, because I do have problems with becoming "selfless". quote:I hear ya girl, me too . I can relate to what my chart ruler is doing in the 9H. "You are a generally outgoing person–an idealist and a dreamer. Usually ready for an adventure on the fly, you are a growth-oriented person and a born philosopher. Your opinions are strong, and you are generally ready and willing to let others know what you think! You may also be especially attracted to travel."Maybe except for the generally outgoing part (ambivert here), everything in that sentence hits a chord. quote:so when your Saturn return starts, it's quite possible that this period of a couple of years could be more positive for you than for someone who has their Sun below the horizon. However, during this period, be mindful of when Saturn eventually makes a square to your Pluto, Sun and Mars trio, because that may be full on. It may deal with matters related to the 11th/12th houses. Saturn will also eventually form a sextile with your Mercury and a trine with your Venus. First it'll make an aspect with Venus, then with Mercury and then finally with your Scorp trio. However, it's said that for Saturn return it's more important to focus on the hard aspects as those are the ones you'll feel more. Whereas with soft aspects, well everything's fine and dandy so nothing to report. My Saturn return will probably be one of the most defining moments in my life, as I will be in the crossroads. It's going to be a big decision to transfer permanently to another country or go back to my home country. quote:I just read about planets on one side or the other side of the chart, and it says that charts that have many planets on the left side are Eastern strong, and these people normally are self-motivated and take initiative, while those with a Western strong chart are those who define themselves through their relationships. I just had a look at my chart, and mine seems to be Eastern strong as well, with 7 planets on the left side, though mine's not as strong as yours."...the native is generally self-motivated, initiating, action-oriented, and self-assertive. He or she tends to believe strongly in free will."I can relate to that better than my previous western hemisphere-dominant chart. quote:Yes, I can see that with your old chart, Jupiter and Moon quite literally swapped places while everything else just flipped across. Did you find, though, that your old chart didn't quite fit you even before you found out your real time? Or did you think that it did? Because some of the dangers of Astrology is people applying a lot of confirmation bias. I sometimes wonder how much confirmation bias I adopt when I look at my own chart. It's hard not to because our experiences and the way we see ourselves are subjective. This is one of the descriptions of 9H in Pisces and... no, I can't relate. Haha"If the 9th house is occupied by Pisces, it is highly possible that the chart owner will follow the role of becoming a spiritual leader. In case there are also planets or a stellium occupying his 12th house, and aspecting Jupiter in the 9th, he might follow the road of being a monk or become a Hermit in some other way. When there are planets or a stellium in the 1st house, he would most likely be an extrovert figure in religion, far from self-imprisonment and hermetism."But this though, definitely describes me, especially the one in bold:"People who have Jupiter in their 9th house are passionate with traveling to new places; this usually broadens their mind and also triggers other matters governed by the 9th house. They adore learning and usually continue towards master or doctorate studies, while it is a frequent phenomenon that Jupiter shines back their effort towards other people, and they become professors or mentors of some kind."I am pursuing a doctorate degree sometime next year. With regards to the moon being in the 9H, I can relate to this:" he simply pushes a button in his mind and disappears in thoughts. Natives with this placement have amazing abilities of visualizing imaginative stories; they can get frequently lost in lengthy fantasies that watch as movies in their heads. This magical placement is an open gate towards a more romantic, beautiful and exciting world, than the one who really exists. And if the person dreaming such dreams, has also other abilities… then who knows? He might even be able to materialize those illusions."But generally speaking, 9H jupiter resonates to me more.3H moon:"it gives is natural curiosity, which can lead to investing a lot of time in reading books, studying or expanding their horizons to different subjects and crafts. Nevertheless, from this is excluded higher education, as it is represented by the ninth house which lays completely opposite this one. If both houses have planets, their energies are polarized, which leads quite often for differences between the middle level studies and the higher ones. This can even be quite good, as the native can create a unique combination of different types of knowledge, sometimes leading in their mixture in a totally new and quite personal blend. The opposition of the third house moon with important planets in the ninth house always brings internal contradictions; there can be even dilemmas of choosing a place to live, abroad or in his birthplace."" The Moon is giving some instability due to its quick movement, and feelings can easily over-flood the words said, as long as the reception of other’s words."YES. 3rd house jupiter:"There is a tendency to love books and read plenty of them during their lifetime, as they enjoy learning till their old years. Their mind is a sponge which can easily absorb all type of information; nevertheless the third house usually brings a lot of useless data."This is also true, but I am able to filter the useless info. Moon in the 3rd wins, though. Overall, I can relate to my new chart more than my old one. LunaeThese descriptions for a 12H sun:"The Sun in the 12th house can make them secret benefactors; they will frequently help others without trying to take any type of credit for their benevolent actions. Generally, they like being behind the scenes...""A common pattern appearing for natives with this natal placement is being bullied during their childhood. ""A 12th house Sun sometimes feels overlooked and this can create self-doubt and poor self-esteem. The planetary energy in this house feels weakened, unacknowledged and unseen. The person does not feel deserving of praise, attention or acknowledgment. Asserting himself or herself or getting up in front of an audience may be exceedingly uncomfortable for the person. The Sun in the 12th house feels invisible at times, and may live out part of their lives in secret.""A powerful sense of service to others leads him or her into the healing fields such as therapy, medicine, hypnosis, creative visualization, occult studies, music or painting, which are all areas that the individual may be drawn towards."These really hit home. The 12H sun is absolutely more like me.ETA: There was a glitch... your reply and my old chart disappeared. :/bonsaiYeah that was strange, I too thought "ummmm, pretty sure we had closer to 9 posts than 6." Hate glitches.Man, even though my moon's in the 10th house, the 9th house moon description fits me too. Boy do I create fantasies in my head, storylines that can span over years! That aside, you definitely sound true to your new chart, and you're typical of someone with an Eastern hemispheric chart, ie. someone who takes initiative. Hope your doctorate goes well, too! Are there any other questions you have relating to the chart? Maybe I or possibly someone else can help if so.LunaeActually, I do have a question: what happens when something completes the missing component of your grand cross (t-square)? Like a transit or someone else's planet/s opposing the apex?ETA: speaking of the apex, I'm currently digging into my mercury right now. I can relate to both Mercury conj asc and 12H merc (although more on the former). My previous chart's Gemini ascendant description still kind of applies. Lol xDKannon McAfeeIF this Asc [23 south] is accurate within just a few degrees, then Uranus [23S0] and North Node [22S59] are parallel it. That sets up both a Mercurial and Uranian personality with tendencies towards insomnia due to excess mental activities and multi-layered thinking that stay 'turned on' beyond real benefit; inventiveness, lots of aha! moments; the need for an intellectual vocation so that your mind does not go to waste or keep you up with trivialities. This is even more true with Moon [4S16] parallel Pluto [3S53], which indicates tendency to very strong feelings, strong tastes that get easily activated, as Moon in Pisces is very impressionable. With Moon also opposite Jupiter great care needs to be taken to balance physical/emotional intake with what you give. You are generous, but with Moon opposite Jupiter and parallel Pluto may have a tendency for your eyes being bigger than your stomach at mealtimes.Mars [17S57] is parallel Sun [18S33] in addition to the conjunction. So your energies are high and need to be kinesthetically expressed on a daily basis through focused physical activity. Essentially wear yourself out through enough physical activity that your day is done when it needs to be. You have a strong drive and strong constitution and need to use it fully daily. Mars conjunct Pluto only reinforces this. If you don't have a fully engrossing vocation and some demands on your time and energy, you can be your own worst enemy, create dramas, etc.Moon/Pisces sextile Uranus/Cap indicates psychic tendencies, mental intuition that may serve you in a number of areas. This chart indicates writing, drama, etc, could be good vocational areas.Moon quincunx Venus indicates people-pleasing tendencies, which are not all bad. Its better to look for the little ways to do this, using modest gestures that are very meaningful rather than getting caught over time in relationships that ask you to bend, but don't give equally back.I'm curious. Yeah, its a functional t-square with the Moon applying to exact aspect with both other factors. That puts the grand-cross point at 8-15 Gemini. It can be someone who has a significant affect on you whether or not it is a lasting relationship of any kind. With someone else's planet/Sun/Moon there it will tend to add dynamic activation to things that come naturally to you, but also add volatility. Not necessarily a bad thing. On the whole, 4 planets in fixed signs for Lunae means she can probably handle that mutability just fine. Such a person may be someone in a working relationship whose planet at 8-15 Gemini can act as an added handle that turns and 'cranks' Lunae's potential (Mercury/Moon/Jupiter) into motion. quote:Originally posted by Lunae:Hey everyone!
I guess maybe a lesson is to learn and understand why you have the reactions or feelings you have, by connecting with your unconscious in some way and making sense of yourself.
Erm, your Saturn is in the second house, so you may be someone who takes your security and comfort extremely seriously.
But because they're both in Capricorn, there's a more serious air about that self-image.
Jupiter in 9th, it's in its dignity (right word?) there and well at home. Seems to be a really great position in terms of traveling to far places and even education overseas. You'll feel like you'll truly expand yourself and your horizons if you undertake that, or exploring the spiritual or religious. Exploring that may help you become more self aware and you may feel yourself grow through the spiritual/religious realm.
Feel free to let me know if what I said wasn't right. I'm no expert and have trouble trying to understand my own chart as it is. But I guess it's exercise. I'm not good with aspects so someone else might be able to weigh in more with that, or even correct what I said.

Yes it's ok. Thank you so much for your time.

That last line really resonates with me. I don't reveal everything, but I try to deal with everyone as honestly as possible. If I don't like someone, I usually make sure that person knows. No time for niceties, unless really needed.
And yes, I am a bit high-strung and nervous but I always attributed that to my previous chart's Gemini Ascendant, with ruler in the 6H.

I am intense, yes. Sometimes, people think I'm angry because of the way I speak. Also, based on the gist of this paragraph, I have a very contradicting personality, which is true. Scorpio sun is in the 12th, but its rulers are in the 11th.
Also, what do you mean when you said that my NN is direct..? I've always thought it was retrograde, even without the symbol.

That happens to me a LOT. I still am a bit of a mystery to me. I'm always trying to discover and rediscover myself.

This is true. I don't really like to be pulled out of my comfort zone, but I can suck it up when needed. I've also attributed this to the dominance of fixed signs in my chart.
quote: Maybe you're the type who needs to have a lot of money (quite above average) in your bank account for a rainy day, just to feel secure.
I don't really need a lot of money, generally speaking, but I am working towards an abundant savings account, yes. You never know what might happen. Lol

That last sentence definitely rings true. I value connections that run deep. Yes, I do like talking about how I feel, but at the same time, I also have trouble expressing it. Now it really is apparent, especially that my moon is part of a T-square.

Well, I am a bit of a nonconformist but I guess that's not just how I express myself, but also my beliefs.
To make my spirit healthy.
I guess I'm ranting now lol.
I don't want to think I'm adjusting to it, but a lot of these placements really does make sense.
Question though, isn't the left half of the chart the side that is geared 'inward'? Like, it's more about self-expression than expression towards others? I feel like that resonates with me more, because in my previous chart, most of my planets were on the right half of the chart.
Also, do you want me to post my old chart for reference?
quote:Originally posted by Lunae:That last line really resonates with me. I don't reveal everything, but I try to deal with everyone as honestly as possible. That's the thing with chart readings, a lot of aspects or positions could have similar effects. A Sagittarius ascendant seems to also not be afraid to let people know the truth about what they think of them, as it's the sign of bluntness too.
Actually, I may have been mistaken about NN being direct.
Why? Don't know, I just felt I need to do it.
Oh yeah, and you have Jupiter tightly trine your NN too, which I'd imagine would be extremely beneficial for you in reaching your destiny. Seems you will have a lot of help from planets in one form or another to shape your NN.
I guess there are a few schools of thought.
I hear ya girl, me too .
Yes, T-square could add to the trouble. Because Mercury is the central part of your T-square.
Hehe, I honestly don't know what kind of aspects or placements would have such a face .
It is interesting that people thought you were Pisces, but I wonder if planets that are in the first house are planetary vibes that an individual gives off to others? It is, after all, the house of self. But it's strange that people thought Pisces and not Aquarius, as Uranus is there too, and they both have pretty much the same aspects to the same planets. It's possible that people might have thought Pisces because you have your Sun (your essence) in the 12th house. Just throwing it out there.
Yeah, I shouldn't have said religious/spiritual, i should have said religious or spiritual as that was what I meant.
No problem .
To be honest I haven't heard about the left half of the chart being geared inward. I'm not sure what implications that has, but it's intriguing, and maybe someone else could weigh in on it.
Feel free to post your old one. In my opinion, your new chart is quite fascinating when looking at some of the placements and aspects. I'd describe it as dynamic and intense. That's the impression I got of your chart when I was trying to work through it.
I wonder what others would think?
quote:Originally posted by bonsai: That's the thing with chart readings, a lot of aspects or positions could have similar effects. A Sagittarius ascendant seems to also not be afraid to let people know the truth about what they think of them, as it's the sign of bluntness too.
I don't remember what people's first impressions of me are, but I am blunt, yes.
I can check that old thread where people were throwing in impressions based on pictures and see what they have to say.
quote: However, on the topic of North nodes, yours is quite interesting because you have two planets tightly conjunct it, especially Uranus, which is practically sitting right on top of it! I do have a very spontaneous outlook in life. I would not mind to go on an adventure but I do have an ultimate goal, which is to have a very good foundation so I can survive anything.
I found this definition of Uranus conj NN by Jeffrey Wolf Green:
" Uranus conjunct the North Node tellsof a continuing need to liberate oneself completely from all prior ego patterns. This might be aimed at uncovering one’s true nature after it had been disguised by overlays of past habits and distortionsfrom things not particularly well executed."
That really resonates with me as well, because I do have problems with becoming "selfless".

Don't we all?

Yeah, that would reflect the high-strung energy indeed. The t-square intensifies Mercury's traits. Mercury is in a detrimental position too, being in Sagittarius and in the 12H.
Speaking of the grand cross, my partner actually completes my grand cross. His moon exactly opposes my mercury and his mars is in a very tight conjunction to my descendant, albeit in the 6H.

I guess because Pisces is kind of dominant in my chart? Moon in Pisces and its ruler in the 1st house. People also guessed Sagittarius, too. I'll check the guess the placements thread again xD

I guess two generational planets conjunct my NN could point to that, too.

I forgot where exactly I got that info from but it's there somewhere in the interwebs. Lol
I've always thought my chart was kind of commonplace. I'm glad you find it interesting. Haha

I guess it's part dynamic since my planets are spread out in one side of the chart? Lol. I forgot what's that called, though. There is a name for that.
I really appreciate that you took time to dissect my chart. Thank you very much
quote:Originally posted by bonsai:Oh yeah, and I just realised (after reading another thread on this website recently), it's important to look at your chart ruler too (damn me for overlooking that), and yours is Jupiter of course, and your Jupiter is part of that T-square. That may also cause some tension for you too and add to anxiety possibly?
Yeah, it does. But I think I suffer from paranoia more than anxiety, though. You may also be especially attracted to travel."
Maybe except for the generally outgoing part (ambivert here), everything in that sentence hits a chord.
quote:so when your Saturn return starts, it's quite possible that this period of a couple of years could be more positive for you than for someone who has their Sun below the horizon.
I just had a look at my chart, and mine seems to be Eastern strong as well, with 7 planets on the left side, though mine's not as strong as yours.
"...the native is generally self-motivated, initiating, action-oriented, and self-assertive. He or she tends to believe strongly in free will."
I can relate to that better than my previous western hemisphere-dominant chart.
quote:Yes, I can see that with your old chart, Jupiter and Moon quite literally swapped places while everything else just flipped across.
Haha
"If the 9th house is occupied by Pisces, it is highly possible that the chart owner will follow the role of becoming a spiritual leader. In case there are also planets or a stellium occupying his 12th house, and aspecting Jupiter in the 9th, he might follow the road of being a monk or become a Hermit in some other way. When there are planets or a stellium in the 1st house, he would most likely be an extrovert figure in religion, far from self-imprisonment and hermetism."
But this though, definitely describes me, especially the one in bold:
"People who have Jupiter in their 9th house are passionate with traveling to new places; this usually broadens their mind and also triggers other matters governed by the 9th house. They adore learning and usually continue towards master or doctorate studies, while it is a frequent phenomenon that Jupiter shines back their effort towards other people, and they become professors or mentors of some kind."
I am pursuing a doctorate degree sometime next year.
With regards to the moon being in the 9H, I can relate to this:
" he simply pushes a button in his mind and disappears in thoughts. He might even be able to materialize those illusions."
But generally speaking, 9H jupiter resonates to me more.
3H moon:
"it gives is natural curiosity, which can lead to investing a lot of time in reading books, studying or expanding their horizons to different subjects and crafts. The opposition of the third house moon with important planets in the ninth house always brings internal contradictions; there can be even dilemmas of choosing a place to live, abroad or in his birthplace."
" The Moon is giving some instability due to its quick movement, and feelings can easily over-flood the words said, as long as the reception of other’s words."
YES.
3rd house jupiter:
"There is a tendency to love books and read plenty of them during their lifetime, as they enjoy learning till their old years. Their mind is a sponge which can easily absorb all type of information; nevertheless the third house usually brings a lot of useless data."
This is also true, but I am able to filter the useless info.
Moon in the 3rd wins, though.
Overall, I can relate to my new chart more than my old one.
"The Sun in the 12th house can make them secret benefactors; they will frequently help others without trying to take any type of credit for their benevolent actions. Generally, they like being behind the scenes..."
"A common pattern appearing for natives with this natal placement is being bullied during their childhood. "
"A 12th house Sun sometimes feels overlooked and this can create self-doubt and poor self-esteem. The planetary energy in this house feels weakened, unacknowledged and unseen. The person does not feel deserving of praise, attention or acknowledgment. Asserting himself or herself or getting up in front of an audience may be exceedingly uncomfortable for the person. The Sun in the 12th house feels invisible at times, and may live out part of their lives in secret."
"A powerful sense of service to others leads him or her into the healing fields such as therapy, medicine, hypnosis, creative visualization, occult studies, music or painting, which are all areas that the individual may be drawn towards."
These really hit home. The 12H sun is absolutely more like me.
ETA: There was a glitch... your reply and my old chart disappeared. :/
Man, even though my moon's in the 10th house, the 9th house moon description fits me too.
Maybe I or possibly someone else can help if so.
ETA: speaking of the apex, I'm currently digging into my mercury right now. I can relate to both Mercury conj asc and 12H merc (although more on the former). My previous chart's Gemini ascendant description still kind of applies. Lol xD
You are generous, but with Moon opposite Jupiter and parallel Pluto may have a tendency for your eyes being bigger than your stomach at mealtimes.
Mars [17S57] is parallel Sun [18S33] in addition to the conjunction. If you don't have a fully engrossing vocation and some demands on your time and energy, you can be your own worst enemy, create dramas, etc.
Moon/Pisces sextile Uranus/Cap indicates psychic tendencies, mental intuition that may serve you in a number of areas.
This chart indicates writing, drama, etc, could be good vocational areas.
Moon quincunx Venus indicates people-pleasing tendencies, which are not all bad. Its better to look for the little ways to do this, using modest gestures that are very meaningful rather than getting caught over time in relationships that ask you to bend, but don't give equally back.
I'm curious. What was the situation with your birth certificate that required a change from Gemini rising (as you previously described yourself on this forum) to Sagittarius?
------------------The Declinations GuyRising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓
Before anything else, here's the story about the change in my birth time:
The time on my certificate was 7:35 pm. Thing is, my mom wrote in her memoir of sorts that she was rushed to the hospital at 10 pm the night before and went into labor for 9 hours. This would mean that I was born in the morning and not in the evening, like my birth certificate says.
quote:Originally posted by Kannon McAfee:IF this Asc [23 south] is accurate within just a few degrees, then Uranus [23S0] and North Node [22S59] are parallel it.
Yes to insomnia And yes to an intellectual vocation. I'm currently teaching but next year, I'll be off to a foreign country to work in the medical field and to pursue a doctorate degree.

This is also true. In my previous chart, I thought this was only because of the moon's trine to pluto.

This is another indication of high-strung energy of my chart, I guess? It fits, actually.

Yes to psychic and people-pleasing tendencies. Although when I was younger, the latter WAS kind of bad. Lol
By the way, I have a question: do parallels work like conjunctions? I've never really delved deeper into declinations, so I'm also curious.

Interesting! Thank you for clarifying that.
And thanks for the feedback. I think there is potential for you to write and publish your experiences as a teacher and traveler.
Martial arts can also be a good outlet for your considerable Martial energies.

I assume this is about the configuration of Moon/8 Pisces opposite Jupiter/11 Virgo, both squaring Mercury/15 Sag.
Like an editor/publisher/key administrator where she works.
It would not be surprising if she has someone like that with such a planet in Gemini since that evidently is also the area of her DC, the main significator of 'other', relationship in her chart.

I love writing but I'm experiencing a bad case of writer's block right now.
I got into boxing a few months ago but I stopped because I got busy with work. I'm planning to learn Krav Maga before I leave so I can fend off the crazies. Lol

This is really interesting because my SO's moon exactly opposes my mercury. So far, our relationship has been one hell of a ride. He's made a huge impact on my life, out of all the men I've been involved with.
He's very intellectual and well-read, so if I wanted someone to edit my work in the future, it's him.
Also, before we got together, he was one of my good friends... and my former student, too. #taboo
