T O P I C R E V I E WnyangeloxoTo me, my venus looks like a complete mess. Most would say Venus is my chart ruler, but I've found that because it is so poorly aspected and at 1 degree, the moon would actually be considered my chart ruler. What are your thoughts on this?colorful butterflyYou are libra rising and this is why venus is considered your chart ruler. Your venus is influenced by saturn , neptune and uranus in Capricorn. Venus\ saturn is one that will not allow someone to enter into any love relation, hard work and disapline usually accompany this aspect. One another note, these relations usually last for long period if not forever. The thing that I see that could hinder things is saturn usually delays the planet that it sits with, neptune will cause disillusionments so be weary to see the other for who they are. It makes one very forgiving and prone to seeing what they want to see. Uranus usually cause for an unconventional type of love relation. I haven't been studying astrology long so hope others reply but hope this helps! nyangeloxothanks colorful butterfly.however i was taught a more complex method: My Venus is inhibited because it is in a pitted degree (1 Capricorn); so I would then begin a search for another ruler; in my method, the next candidate would be the planet closes to the ascending degree (but in the same sign)-however there are no planets in Libra; therefore my next candidate for chart ruler would be the planetary ruler of the sign of the MC: this would be the Moon (ruler of Cancer which contains the MC): Moon is in Aquarius, so it is not in a sign of Fall or of its detriment; Moon is not in a pitted degree, and is not conjunct the Dragon's Tail, and is not combust the Sun (ie within 5 degrees of conjunction with the Sun)...Therefore, as far as I am concerned (using this method for selecting the ruler of the natal chart) the MOON is my chart ruler...RandallThanks!RandallWelcome!
