My gluten intolerance forced me into cutting out all things gluten.... but then I always had something against wheat, perhaps for a reason.
I do not have beer any more either. I also function better emotionally, spiritually and physically as a vegan, I've done so much detox in my life that it's quite effortless to be vegan & enjoyable. I was eating meats during pregnancy I think for a good reason also but now that I am no longer pregnant I find plant foods make me thrive.
with that said I have the results to back up my theories.
I've now lost 16lb's in 6 weeks just by eating an allergen-free & animal free foods. My kids are not fully like me, essentially they get to sample the world and make up their own decision unless their health dictate otherwise. But we strictly do not have red meat in our house.
I've lost a lot of fat on this lifestyle.
No muscle loss... people have been asking if I have been going to the gym harder- I actually have not been going!
I can eat all the gluten free CARBS that I want, all the fructose I want and lose weight, how does that work? I think if one wants the results then you have to look at who is spouting the advice. Doug Graham and others' who recommend the similar lifestyle to gluten free vegan (raw or otherwise) have very slim athletic bodies.
the results are there...and I'm getting the same.
Automatically I had to go back to whole foods, no processed foods, no bread, pasta and likes of wheat products.
Quite funny, I flipped on the tv the same day I found out about my gluten intolerance and flipped on a channel I really try to avoid (ET) and they were asking some celebrities what is their secret to staying slim? They said 'gluten free'...
I was annoyed they were using it as a 'new thing'... but there is something to it and it's deep.
I heard my synchronistic message for that moment so I switched off the box and ordered my relevant books.
I will keep posting my findings.
Let me know how you are going with this elixir, love the name by the way
