hippichick | Has anybody ever experienced one? Picked up one the other day out of curiosity, and when I finally tweaked out the amount of fine ground (freshly ground) coffee and the correct amount and temp of water it is plain heaven!!! Some of the best coffee! Beats brewed in my book! |
T | Yeah, I got one recently too & the coffee tastes a million times better than drip brew. |
Yin | I have a percolator, a drip coffee maker and a lil pot to make Turkish coffee. Now you gals are making me want to go get a 4th coffee machine. Aghhh. Lol. |
T | The only thing i don't like is it's a bit tricky keeping it piping hot (actually havent figured that one out yet). I usually drink the whole pot before it goes cold though. The French probably share a pot and arent looking to drink 6 cups at a time, like me. lol |

try on, they are relatively inexpensive and wonderful!! |
YoursTrulyAlways | I like the French Press. Fast. Easy to clean. Great for lazy me. |
Randall | What exactly is it? |
hippichick | Randall it is a container, mine is heavy plastic, tho I'd rather have a glass one, that you put your coffee grounds in the bottem, pour in hot water, let it "brew" for a bit then there is this press device that you basically, insert and press down the grounds, leaving the coffee on the top... marvelous! Especially with fresh ground beans! |
T | Hippi, I found mine - a really nice glass one at Marshall's for under $20. If you live near a Marshall's, TJMaxx, or HomeGoods, I would check there first. You will most likely find one at a great deal. |

hippichick | WOW! Thanks T! Will go, and yes, they are both close! |
tbelle | I cant live without mine! The funniest thing is when I have people staying over - the never know what it is and are usually skeptical and dont want to try. Once they do, they admit its the best cup they had, HA! |
Ami Anne | I didn't like it at all. Did I do it wring? ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Padre35 | This is something I'd really like to try doing, I'm not the largest coffee drinker in the world so a custom cup just sounds interesting. |
erin | The coffee press is the best way, for the best coffee. Period. The new Keurig craze has me mystified. Why would you spend $200-$300 dollars for a coffee maker? And those "K" cups that everyone is selling. So expensive. Well, there are plenty of people who spend $5 a day at Starbucks.... swwwwweet!
going to check this one out! fancy!!! |
Randall | Sweet! |

How did you do it? In my experience, the water has to be very hot, the beans freshly, finely ground, let it set for a bit and it comes out STRONG, so experiment with how much ground beans you use. |

Then it sounds right for you. Read the advice I gave Ami, it takes practice to get just the correct taste and brew for you. But that is the great thing about these! You can tweak them out to your personal preference and even mix and match flavors! |
erin | Someone edited my post. Strange |
Randall | What was edited? |
