T O P I C R E V I E Wilunatique ilunatique ilunatique ilunatique..........ueharaaWe all have a say in how we choose to react to events. So this one love got lost. Does that make it untrue? Does it alter the possibility of ever finding one again? I remember always being amazed at how Liz Taylor (yes sorry for the example but still) managed to marry again and again. Throwing herself completely into another relationship with absolute trust and faith that this time is the right time. Now maybe she just had a light concept of marriage and love I don't know but this struck me. What you say about love could be said about basically anything. Do you feel somewhat less eager and motivated to start a new project because a former didn't end well? you can not let past experience determine your reaction to the present. Learn from them but do not let them make you bitter or less hopeful. I know it's easier said than done . Healing Mystic MelodyLove is Love. It is the illusion that dies. Then we have to replace it with the hard stuff, when we love the darkness in others and not just the illusion of perfection we put on our first loves. I thought love would be easy and I would magically find the perfect man for me and we would be devoted to one another and happy forever. But that is the fairy tale kid stuff we were brain washed with as children. No one has that relationship. All people are darkness and light and we have to be dedicated to our relationship with a Higher Power/Love in order to keep loving the darkness in each other and focusing on the light in each other. It isn't easy. Most people don't know that with their first love. They just love the illusion and then blame the other when the illusion isn't maintained and play the victim for a long time, ruining other relationships, being negative, and hurting others while still blaming the other. Some people are learning to love.Dancing MaenadI don't think we love less, but we love differently. The Heart feels the need to protect itself, after so much sorrow. The downfall is to allow the walls to prevent it from feeling again. Love is a risk, but I feel it is better to have loved and suffered than not feel love at all. After a while, numbness hurt me more than pain did, ironically. Sometimes, we need to take a break from love, and that is alright. When we'll be ready again, we'll let people in - but with a more thorough selection this time. The Heart is so precious. ------------------~the raving one dancing in the nude~GypseeWindEvery time I fall in love it's with the same starry eyed rose colored glasses as the first time. My head tries to tell me not to forget what happened the last time (and the time before that, and before that) but I fall just as hard again. This may be a Saggie thing, IDK. As much as I should know better and be jaded, I just cant. So to the OP, I'm your opposite!
