SunChild | He is still trying to create hell for me. Not working this time and I'm 99% sure he has no legal standing. He says I stole money from him when I left. I did no such thing. Yet I was the one left with 10K credit card debt. He's probably forgotten. *sigh He says he lost income when he was with me.... he wants to sue me for all that stuff. Can anyone in their right mind do that? Surely no lawyer getting paid on legal aid (would not even be approved without merit) would pursue such action. Should I even bother responding to this? Ignore it. yeh? ------------------ Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let bitterness steal your sweetness. FireMoon | Ick I'm sorry you're going through that Suncild From having a step-mom as a lawyer, I personally know that lawyers will bite onto ANYTHING when they have a paying client and are not above finding the lowest possible blows they can dig up or fabricating things if all else fails... I would say ignore it definitely until you know they have a shrap of evidence against you-even if this isn't true at all, if they can make it seem that way by twisting things around they will... Otherwise f*** them they won't be able to do anything. Again sorry you're going through that and I wish you the best |
Delilah | Should you have to go to court for this you can request that he pay the court cost and your lawyer's legal fee. If he can threaten to sue you for such bs you can threaten him with a harassment suit for all the stress he's caused you. Ugh, I can never understand why people are so small... |

Hera | Don't let it get to you. If things do get serious, fight back! Don't allow scumbags to get their way by intimidation! |
dysfunctionalmystic | I'd wait to get an official letter. He sounds like he's just trying to bait you into a reaction. |
charmainec | It's a lame attempt at trying to ruffle your feathers. Wish he would just leave you alone already. You shouldn't have to deal with this sort of spiteful behavior. Ignore it. ------------------ quote: Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma.

Lioness | What a jerk.. He just wants to **** you off.. Dont let him get to you... My ex told me he was going after alimony from me.. I told him do what you gotta do.. He never did.. |
SunChild | Thanks for sharing & the encouragement guys. I pray that he can just grow up and stop obsessing and focusing on ways to upset me. I'm starting to wonder whether that day will ever come. Is there hope? I get sad for my daughter.
