T O P I C R E V I E WT(to the earth plane)just for the experiences - for the experience of it all. Experiences that can only be had through a human body and mind. What if we are NOT here to achieve enlightenment or perfection because our true nature is already that and we just come here for the adventure and to 'get away from it all'. To dive into the duality, diversity, joy, sadness, struggles etc etc. What if it's not even so much for a learning and growing experience and instead just a way to experience a new way of being and take it back with you.Maybe some souls decide they want to experience a wide and wild variety of earthly emotions, trials and tribulations and others choose a life where they dip their toe in and it's mostly smooth sailing or a more peaceful life (& not saying neither is right or wrong or good or bad). What if our goal isnt to strive to be 'gods' in human skin and walking forgiving perfect enlightenment? And instead simply experience.....life on the earth plane.T ......why you making those cricket noises guys? lolj/kmight be back later w/ more thoughts. I figure the purpose of life is to become lucid and know itself. Humans are sentient but we aren't sentient enough for the cosmos to know itself fully so we're a step along the way but not the finished project. And ultimately individual members of humanity are like individual cells of a body, and if our species dies out I think the cosmos will shrug and try again. I've never been comfortable with religions that emphasized that the material plane was forever at war with the spiritual plane (or at least a dichotomy). To me if there is a Creator (or if it's "just is") then the spirit manifests the material, much like how a poem reflects a poet (that is, the entire universe is a poem and you don't get closer to a poet by tearing up the poem or rejecting the poem as a "distraction at best"). I've intentionally soaked up some of the more beautiful scenes and moments of my life trying to commit them to memory with the intent that maybe I can relive them again at the moment of my death, and what I'd really like to do is share with others who have never been here...sorta like a psychic recording of a tourist, I suppose. Other possibilities have occurred to me as well...one of the more intriguing ones (JUST a possibility, mind you, not a theory on my part) is that spirit entities feed off our psychic vibrations and that by piping in the more wonderful moments of my life to them I can hopefully create a taste for that "flavor" and perhaps it might encourage those entities to try to harvest the more joyous energies over the painful ones by making the positive more likely to happen. It's an "as above, so below" thing, many farmers are brutal to their livestock as it's coldly efficient and yet taking a more holistic view can be much more satisfying and even make the food healthier and tastier than factory farming so that some come to prefer it to the point they're even willing to pay more for animals treated better. As I say, just one of many possibilities that occurred to me. CatalinaWell i certainly don't think we're here to become perfect, but i love learning so that's part of my trip, how can i stretch in whatever direction seems right at the time. Definitely feel we're here to experience and have an adventure of whatever kind pulls us. But i love"connecting"with whatever "more" of me is seeing thru my eyes, accessing magic and seeing more of the"bigger picture" than getting tangled up in knots about the past, ie what went wrong/who's to blame/who recognizes me ...if that makes sense, I'm a bit tired tonight.juniperb quote:I've intentionally soaked up some of the more beautiful scenes and moments of my life trying to commit them to memory with the intent that maybe I can relive them again at the moment of my death, and what I'd really like to do is share with others who have never been here...sorta like a psychic recording of a tourist, I suppose. Yes, I often do the same. Gathering wonderful memories/moments and storing them can`t negate the harsh ones . But, I don`t want to negate the harsh but rather to enhance the positive and carry that as my greatest learning experience. The euthanasia sequence [w/E.G.
