T O P I C R E V I E WXodianOk, so Cracked is about as reliable of a source of facts as a Late Night Sitcom. However, a few of the facts from the following little article are correct. The one that is incorrect is the Vietnam Airforce's kill record in the Vietnam war. Most of the U.S. planes shot down in the Vietnam War by the VPAF were lost due to SAM fire; Not air-to-air combat kills. The actual kill ratio of the Vietnam war in air combat was in favour of the U.S. (with a kill ratio of 4:1 - 4 Vietnamese Planes for every 1 U.S. Plane.)Oh and the African Union isn't a country. The rest of this is pretty true - JTF 2 rocks! http://www.cracked.com/article_20301_the-5-most-secretly-badass-countries.html Love this quote: quote:JTF 2 - It's like if Great Britain and America had a military love-child, who could disassemble and reassemble any firearm while blindfolded at age 7, then proceed to take down 9 targets with 5 rounds, and finish it all off by saying sorry and meaning it. It's good to be Canadian. PixieJaneIf you like that then take a gander at this site: http://www.badassoftheweek.com/index.cgi?archive=1#list It's sometimes very entertaining and even hilarious, IMO, and I normally don't get that excited by the topic. It can get a bit whimsical, like Molly the Cow or even Australia the continent but it's still got a lot of truth to it (not that you'd want to cite this site for a history report as it's more for entertainment purposes than educational, and I know some of the people they describe are actually legends rather than actual history, which is to say there's no way to tell how much of it is accurate, and in some cases if the person even existed). aquaguy91It said the page doesn't exist when I tried to look at it.Xodian quote:Originally posted by PixieJane:If you like that then take a gander at this site: http://www.badassoftheweek.com/index.cgi?archive=1#list It's sometimes very entertaining and even hilarious, IMO, and I normally don't get that excited by the topic.
