T O P I C R E V I E WFireAndEarthPlease don't quote. I might edit this out later. There's a woman at work that I was just interested in getting to know. Genuinely didn't have any other motives. Not having said anything to each other I noticed her body language. Arms folded, turning away from me, etc. Not like angry but just sending a clear message of disinterest. So I thought, "ok well I don't want to make her uncomfortable so I'll give her plenty of space". So I did. I didn't see her at all for maybe 3 months. I don't need to go too far out of my way to make this happen. It's easy. So I crossed her path the other day. Not on purpose and I'd hoped that things would be forgotten / cooled off. Nope. Her body language is actually much worse! Like quickly looking away and walking faster. I'm totally confused. I got the message but I don't understand why we can't just return to neutrality. Thoughts?RandallBump!PixieJaneSorry to say that it probably can't. There are probably external factors involved that you don't know about, though it could her own inner-demons. In either case, any interaction with her, no matter how well intended and to say "let's just be professional" isn't likely to work in this case.Try not to become neurotic around other people because of her. Avoid her, not everyone else.teaselI can understand the need to know what’s wrong, but I also know that there is nothing you can personally do. The more you care, and try to fix something that you don’t understand, the worse it will be. I’ve had people make some really outlandish assumptions about me before, and I’ve just reached a point of saying fuq it. FireAndEarthThank you both! teasel quote:Originally posted by FireAndEarth:Thank you both! You're welcome. I had something confusing happen, too. I messaged the person on FB, about it tonight. And I'm going back to taking my own advice.
