T O P I C R E V I E Waquaguy91One thing I've always noticed (probably because of Saturn conjunct Sun) is that employers in the United States have extremely unrealistic expectations for their employees' performance. At every job I've had I have felt a lot of pressure to be perfect from day one. There's no room for error. Boom! If you can't master complicated processes within a day or two you are gone. That got slightly better during Covid but things have gone back to the status quo in that regard from what I've seen. I have experienced things like being yelled at and written up when I was the only one doing a job that should have had 3 other people helping me. What especially brought this topic to mind is my current employer expecting me to master the training for something completely new to me that is really difficult in less than a day. They told me if I can't pass the training test on Monday without making any mistakes that I'll be let go. No pressure, huh? And this company is desperate for people but they dont want to give people time to learn. Make it make sense!! I honestly think that's why there are so many empty jobs in the States right now. People realize that employers see them as things to be cast aside. A lot of people are lucky enough to have family systems and situations that make it easier for them to get out of the rat race. I envy those people. My karma has led me to a life of dealing with the BS and somehow making a way for myself for whatever reason.Randall aquaguy91Things turned out ok, but I still think things were way more stressful than they had to be. RandallGlad it worked out.
