SunChild | You can fling open the doors of perception without ever taking a hallucenogenic drug -- all it takes is an understanding of how your mind works. Your mind isn't a passive observer of reality. Much of what you “see” or otherwise sense is actually a byproduct of how your brain processes sensation. Scientists have come up with a number of simple tricks that expose the artifice of your senses, so that you end up perceiving what you know isn't real. - Dr. Mercola

SunChild | Did you try it? |
Cancer/Scorpio729 | Eeep, not yet. I have to try and find a way to sneak some ping-pong balls from the basement and cut them without letting my parents find out They wouldn't be very happy if I went around slicing all our ping-pong balls in half. I did make my sister try the binoculars thing when she came home with a splinter. She stared at her hand through the binoculars while I took her splinter out with some tweezers. She definitely did not cry as much...it was weird. |

Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.” |
