T O P I C R E V I E Wmiranda23Does anybody believe in miracles? What about the real big miracles like moving mountains...?Does anyone have any experiences or stories to tell of miracles. moondreamerI do believe in miracles but I have not experienced any miracles...YET.sVirgoYes!! I believe in miracles.Like I been caught alone by some men in one dark winter night. But I don't know what happened I just got courage to come out of them. When I ran from there, then I realized that it was miracle that they could not move from their positions to chase me or stop me and I also did not get scared.miranda23That was a miracle sVirgo and I'm glad you're alright.--------------There's nothing to learn only to love patty9YES!!! I do believe in miracles! not only have i witnessed many, but, I have had many in my life, like falling into the cherry tree in my back yard, walking on water, instantaneous healings, etc. Miracles are natural, and really quite scientific. It isn't really the miracle itself that's important, but the love that inspires it. They really are just acts of learning and Love!RadnaYes! I deffinently belive in miricles! Just today My Daughter and car were saw safely on the road....Miricals happen every day...you just have to watch for them = )Love and PeaceRadnamiranda23sorry for the delay in writing back my PC was down.Patty9:OH MY GODDo I have questions. What do you mean falling into a cherry tree? You've witnessed walking on water? Can you tell me any other miracles you've witnessed?I would like to do a certain miracle from love also. Can you explain more of your understandings dafremenMiracles do happen. They happen every day. There are three kinds of miracles, however, and we should be careful that we distinguish between them. The first sort we're all familiar with..the minor miracle. Reader's digest is full of the inspiring stories of events and people that defy the odds and the laws of physics. The second sort is the trickier sort to sort out. These are the miracles that come, not from the Divine Source directly, but from other agents and entities which are more familiar with reality than we are. Some call them demons, spirits, angels(of all sorts) also known as the djinn. These are the miracles that "blow folks away." They are usually highly effective in swaying beliefs and believers. Things like stigmata, crying statues, bleeding this, that, or the other. Watch for signs of showmanship, hocus pocus and instant conversion through psychological impact. The third type of miracle (in this impromptu breakdown) would be what I consider to be the truly divine miracles. These are the moments when you will be able to tell that you are walking in the Light. Synchronicity is a very common example of this sort of miracle. This type of miracle has touched me personally. There was a day when I left the house with a nickel in my pocket, no idea where I was going, and returned home with $6, a full belly, and some of the most amazing memories of a day that you wouldn't believe, even if I told you. The creation tends to support and nurture those who walk in time to her rythms...those who play their part as written.Certainly there are miracles in this world, things happen every day that would boggle the mind to know of. Beautiful miracles happen all of the time..you'd better believe it!Love,dafmiranda23Lots of "everyday" miracles or synchronistic miracles happen to me but what I really WANT I never get...but let me meditate on that more. Dafremen-- the djinn also know as demons, would they be evil or that's a false interpretation of them?Do you also believe in a God outside of ourselves who grant us these miracles?dafremenNo. God is all encompassing. God is everything. God is within you and outside of you at the same time. The notion of there being a "within you" and "outside of you" is an illusion. Are the djinn evil? Hmmm. My dear friend would say YES. I tend to wonder still. Offhand, I would say that these spirits know more than we do and so are probably capble of either great good, or great evil. In general, I would say that their actions are malevolent and their intentions dark. That same friend told me a story which I will paraphrase here, because I really don't know the whole story:A certain Muslim is awakened one morning by a black cat rubbing up against his face. Looking at the clock, he realizes that he is going to be late for his morning prayer. (Muslims have 5 prayer times..salats.)He quickly prepares himself for morning prayer, then goes off to pray. When he returns, the black cat is still sitting on his bed. He immediately recognizes this creature to be not a cat, but a djinn."Why", he asks, "if you are a djinn, did you wake me in time for morning prayer?"The djinn refuses to answer and (there is a whole part of the story that I was too impatient to sit through, so she got to the point of the story) finally God intervenes so that the djinn is forced to speak."It's simple, really", purrs the djinn,"if you had slept through morning prayer, you would have said 100 prayers to make up for your one lost prayer. This way, you have only said one."To circumvent great good with smaller acts of good is still an act of evil. Not all good deeds are performed by the good guys. Remember that.Love, dafKatMiracles are a daily reality. Pick up any book from the SMALL MIRACLES series or their annual desk calendar. The stories will bring tears to your eyes and move your profoundly. Many stories are Jewish, but have universal themes. I recall one story of a cab driver who spoke to a passenger and noticed his concentration camp tatoo. The man mentioned that his number was in a series with his siblings who were lost to the holocaust. Some time later the cab driver had another passenger with a similar tatoo. Upon a closer look, he remembered the sequence of numbers. He was literally able to reunite the two by driving the person to his sibling's home.According to the Course of Miracles one definition of a miracle is a change in consciousness. What would happen if you viewed your current situation differently?BlessingsLibraSparkleI believe in miracles wholeheartedly. I believe it was an absolute miracle that when my daughter was three she woke up screaming and crying begging her daddy not to go to work. Of course he went, it would have been silly not to, only being delayed about 15 minutes. He got there just in time for the local bomb squad to have finished up disabling a bomb that had been called in and threatened by a disgruntled ex-employee.She's a special girl and there have been many other miracles like this one to speak of. Although... it's not nearly as frequent now as it was when she was very small and was in communication with her "ghost friends". Just my 2¢ worth *~D~*miranda23Dafremen what I meant about God was, in your opinion when you ask for a miracle is it a God outside of you who grants it, besides the djinns that you mentioned. And do you think anything is possible? Kat what else does a course in miracles say about miracles?LibraSparkle that must of touched you alot what happened? You have an amazing daughter!miranda23Sooo Da-fre-men----(do you free men)??????????You seem so wise??????? I've read your other posts!dafremenHello miranda,Thanks for your patience and your kind compliments. (No quicker way to a Libran's heart they say.) Wisdom is a comparative term. Some wise men seem as fools to their teachers and we are all students of God and this Creation. To answer your first question, there is no God outside of you that is not also within you. The entire notion of your individuality (of there being an "outside of you" and an "inside of you") is an illusion. However, yes, as far as our perception of both the sensuous and super-sensuous realms goes, it is possible to have miracles granted both from outside and from within.I would be highly suspicious of certain types of miracles. There are forces which seek to decieve. An easy way to keep the blind from knowing whats going on is to make distracting noises all around them. That is NOT to say that miracles cannot come from within as well. There is an old saying which has been proven true more times than not: the Word precedes the Manifestation. In a nutshell, notions give birth to reality. Thanks again for your kind words.Love, dafKatHi Miranda23,The Course of Miracles is a wonderful book. It's extremely intense, hard reading, and some use it as their form of bible. I'd suggest going to a book store and reading the first two or so pages. They are easy.(go ahead and tear the plastic wrap!!)It tells all about miracles in ways that you may not have heard before. You'll know the section when your see it. The beginning says stuff like-- Miracles happen everyday.Miracles happen to us, but first we may need to be purified. Miracles are a state of consciousness. I don't say this lightly, but I feel that if you do this one act for yourself, you'll open a whole new world.Blessings miranda23Hi Kat tear the wrap so funny! I will take a look at it if you say it helps. But I must confess I have alot of miracles happen to me each day LOTS. But I want to know about the really big impossible stuff. I try but did not succeed so far and I think it's really not possible only the amazing, coincidental everyday ones. Very much like planning or creating your reality and amazing surprises happen or the universe works in mysterious ways. Hi daf your welcome Can you elaborate more on exactly what you mean by notions?dafremenWhy, only every thought and words that leaves your mind, love. We each create so much of what goes on around us.daf
Does anyone have any experiences or stories to tell of miracles.
