T O P I C R E V I E WsilverstoneA great movie for those who have eyes to see!SilverStone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walle __________________________________________________________________________________________Between the woods and frozen lakeThe darkest evening of the year....The only other sound's the sweepOf easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert FrostmyS-elf13silverstone-we brought our kids today to see it. loved it!!! finally pixar pulls through with a movie that has a great message on a few levels.there were people of all ages there and most of them did not have young kids with them.ListensToTreesI saw that film recently which you posted a while ago in FFA, "Escape To Witch Mountain". It was brilliant! Witch....switch....as Linda said. ListensToTreesWent to see WALL-E recently too.Good movie, in some ways I found parts of it rather strange. Like, the idea of those obese people in that giant spaceship, floating around on hovercrafts....and that the computer was really in control, not the captain (the captain had to fight to gain control). Also, the idea of the planet being so barren and deserted....perhaps a disturbing theme for young children? However, I thought the robots in it were very cute. I think I enjoyed the movie more than my son did. So many great arch's and messages.... what a delight to watch... we saw it twice sesameYeah, I loved it, I think it won an Oscar. I don't know if many kids would like it - it's quiet, slow, and deep. Not too much communication. I'm unfortunately not allowed to show our kids Kungfu Panda either as it's quite violent. Kids can try to emulate these things, and while I know that you can't shelter kids forever, you can aim to protect the younger ones for as long as possible from their larger, stronger, siblings.Anyone seen Dunderklumpen?Heaps of Love,Dean.------------------I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it.Sue Monk Kidd, "The Secret Life of Bees", p79Logically Magical Logic is Magically Logical Magic!
