T O P I C R E V I E WstarxdI'm new to learning about vedic. It's fascinating. Recently, I pulled together some money (not a lot but a lot for me) and I paid for a 90 minute consultation. While I'm really impressed with KRS, I was hoping to get more detail from a longer reading & discussion. KRS doesn't have time for that.Well, I waited excitedly 2 weeks for my appointment to come and...I was really disappointed. It was almost as if the astrologer didn't prepare at all. Like she was looking at my chart for the first time and didn't really read the questions I sent. But on the other hand, it also seemed like she did an astro relocation I didn't ask for. Then she spent about 30 minutes discussing a city I'd never want to move to. A place I have zero connections to or desire to even visit. I just relocated to the area I want to be in. I just asked her about moving to a more permanent location here.I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she was trying not to answer my questions about love and children. But seriously? I paid to ask those questions. It wasn't fair to try to avoid it and barely address it. She spent about 15 minutes talking about career but it seemed like she hadn't read my questions or concerns. She spent about 30 minutes recommending that I take better care of myself, which is kind and valid information. But the conversation ended with me feeling like I got no answers to my actual inquiries. I'm bummed. I just had to vent. Sorry. etherealsaturnSo KRS doesn't actually give you a reading himself? Or did you go elsewhere?Sorry for your experience :/starxdThanks for your kindness. But no! Sorry I wasn't clear! I have gotten a reading with KRS. He sends an MP3 that can be up to 12 minutes depending on the reading you get. And it can be quite informative but I thought a longer reading where I could ask follow up questions might get me more detail. KRS doesn't have the kind of time for those kind of consultations. As far as I know, the wait is about 25 days. But I got my KRS reading earlier than expected. He was very professional.I was disappointed with another experience. Does anyone know of a good, thorough astrologer who does longer individual readings? RandallI don't know anyone I could recommend. RandallFor Vedic, I mean.starxdThanks for checking in, Randall :-) fairaquaKRS does a lot of interviews with other vedic astrologers he gives high praise to.Check his YouTube page for the videos and visit their websites. I'd watch the videos and see which astrologer you am to like and connect with more. There are a few I like and a I'm more, eh, towards. mirage29What a bummer you spent your money and didn't get what you expected. I think that if an astrologer is set up as their own established business, then the government needs to require a license in astrology, and to provide a certificate saying they were examined and passed proficiency test from a recognized professional organization. If they exchange money/fee for their service, then they should be required to show these credentials. Including, that their business is in good standing (they pay their taxes, and professional dues).(haha, I probably scared some people saying that! There are good astrologers out there who are not certified yet--- but I hope they are not afraid to take the test. Should be no problem?...)I really hope you find a good astrologer. Maybe find a site that reviews astrologers and leave your comments with them?I don't know if you feel like sharing that information with the astrologer who took your money-- might be good feedback for her. But then, that's totally up to you. You're the one who got burnt. Randall quote:Originally posted by mirage29:What a bummer you spent your money and didn't get what you expected. Venusincap89I've always wanted to get a reading from astrologer, but what happened to you is exactly why I always shy away...I am truly sorry to hearHas anyone tried Joni Patry though?RandallHaven't heard of Joni.RandallDoes she use Vedic?Venusincap89Yes she does! RandallThought so!nikki01Joni Patry is a wonderful astrologer she does mostly mundane astrology. she is quite accurate in her predictionsroseelima16Joni Patry is really amazing. Sam Geppi, Ernst Wilhelm, Ryan Kurczak, they are all good astrologers. Just don't know about their current schedule. My sister had an one hour consultation by phone with a very good astrologer and psychic called Hank Friedman. She liked the reading a lot. He does Vedic and Western astrology readings. I'm leaving his link here. http://www.soulhealing.com/telephon.htm
