T O P I C R E V I E WMahaKaliI have one quick question about how to make chart..I'm always confused when it comes to houses positions and planets. For example, Rasi type of chart - When you put 1st house in Aries and end with 12th house in Pisces no matter in what sign your Asc is. And if you have Mars in Gemini, your Mars will be in 3rd house. While Lagna type of chart will put your Mars in Gemini in 9th house if you're Libra Asc, cause your 1st house will be your Asc sign and 9th house in Gemini. So what about Navamsa chart? Can I choose any method of these two or what?It confuses me the most when it comes to rulers of houses. If someone has Navamsa Gemini Asc for example, should he look at 1st house ruler (Aries-Mars) where falls in, or should consider Mercury as the ruler of 1st house?Or if let's say someone has Mars in 1st house (if we just do as Rasi birth chart), it's not planet on Asc but it's in 1st house. I don't understand how to interpret it all. Some help please! MrShawnYou go with the Rashi I.e. the sign. So if you have gemini ascendant, then you look at position of mercury in your chart. RandallThank you.MahaKaliWhat about other houses? If for example 2nd house is in Cancer, what then? In Rasi type o chart Cancer is in 4th.freakoutI use this software for vedic charts - http://www.vedicastrologer.org/jh/ :-) it also show nakshatras, etcRandallWelcome!mirage29Hi, and Welcome, Freakout.I installed that software in my computer..Can't seem to get the hang of creating my own chart on it.Good for seeing daily transits, though.freakout quote:Originally posted by mirage29:Hi, and Welcome, Freakout.I installed that software in my computer..Can't seem to get the hang of creating my own chart on it.Good for seeing daily transits, though.upper left corner: click "Edit", then choose "Birthdata", enter your birth details, click "OK" and it's done :-) if you want to see other divisional charts then you must click right mouse button on the one of the charts and choose it from the list - same with the table visible on the right side, so you can see more details (nakshatras, etc.)RandallThanks, freakout.mirage29Freakout!
