we all have downs in our lives. when the need to cursh the ego arises. when the time to rejuvinate set in. when you are locked on in the hell raiser's eye.the alone comes a feeling that reminds you that no matter how strong the wind, how cold the water... the fire of spirit still keeps burning. what is your antidote to the downs of life? ------------------ I have to be cruel only to be kind, Thus the good begins and the worse is left behind. wow great post, dramatic and all. For me when life is bad, I just refer to astrology, and books and spirituality, and I instantly feel better, I feel better because its like it reminds me that I have some purpose in this world, and you have to go through hell for that. To fulfil your purpose. Anyways, sometimes music helps too, well what about you? With Love, Sonia------------------ Life, n.: A whim of several billion cells to be you for a while. IP: Logged |

When I feel down, music often helps me to bring out the feelings i need to release. I love to sing out the sadness and think about people I love/have loved and reflect on how far I have come in my life.Today I felt down and I went to see our son in a play, he was doing a clown workshop and it really lifted my spirits watching all those little people giving it all they have got - aahh God bless them I like to eat too - comfort food is good! These days I dont do booze much and baccy and smoking dont do it for me, but a good foody treat helps! And if things get really bad...........I just get down on my knees and pray. I pray every day anyway, but the knee thing brings something special to the ritual. A woman I know........a very rural Irish woman said to me once "I meditate every morning, I do a set of exercises I was taught by a healer.............and then I get down on my knees and pray". Oh guys, when I heard her say the praying thing, it really moved me..........one of those moments in life that really has an impact! I hear those words in my head often...... Love to all Sue xxx

Antidote? I honestly don't know sometimes. And as I get older, I understand and accept that it is okay that I don't know. IP: Logged |

Music and silent prayer.. crying..looking at my beautiful daughter and feeling her heart. I think of people I love and the kindness they've shown me. I mostly reflect and spend hours or days of alone time. No computer, no phone.. nothing. IP: Logged |

I work on 3d studio max, retreat to my interal Piscean Matrix, listen to music, lucid dreaming or go and beat the hell out of some geeks in Unreal Tournament online lol Anyone of those can usually cheer me up...!! However, nothing beats a hug from the person you love

my biggest problem is i cannot cry. but hey, is a scorpio sun with leo asc supposed to cry? nah... the flip side is while u get stronger with pain u also take more time in the comeback when you don't cry it out. life is all about balance.every act is justified. there are as many human natures as there are humans. so never be sad with your own. its a part of the big picture. some times we have to do things which the world has made a complusion. we may not like it. osho says leave those things or find love in it. don't do things which you don't like. misery is not the default. joy is. we humans have been porgrammed from childhood to believe that misery is the actually state of life by religion. religion then gives us an antidote... renounciation! we are here to enjoy and not suffer. we don't need to renounce anything. we need to rather live with nature. don't let the biorythm be disturbed. sleep when u feel sleepy, eat when you feel hungry. eat in a balanced way...for the sense of taste as well as satisfying hunger. thats all we have to realise and learn. osho has taught me that healing begins with the body. the mind is in the body and not the other way. we humans have forgotten the joys of senses. especially we scorpions with our need for control. leo ascendant adds a lift to the already high scorpio ego. osho is helping me kill it. the joys of walking the earth with bare feet, touching the leaves with the hands, feeling rain drops on your forehead, the joys of childhood... the bliss that life is, eternal bliss. and thus, the fire keeps burning... transforming churchill's words... "let us therefore brace our selves to out 'joys' ,so bear our selves, that, is we were to live for a thousands years WE would still say 'This' was our finest hour...." The Evolution Begins... I think everyone should cry as much as they can, its a damn good release valve imo The best crying is holding someone in your arms and both crying while listening to your favorite song or watching your favorite movie Im such big softy lol

I totally cry. When peole tell me things which move me, I cry. Most of my acquaintances will tell me things because they know when they look at me that I am affected by their stories.. and I suppose it authenticates their feelings, to have them amplified through me. My friend, a male, is a Leo Sun and Moon, conjunct.... he cries. He likes to tell people he cries too. We all need an outlet. I feel immensely better when I am able to release endorphins this way. The only problem with that is that discipline via workplace will make me cry. Even constructive things.. I will want to justify every thing, defend.. even while I am crying. Intense emotions make me cry. Good and bad.IP: Logged |

That is very interesting, Pixel, Sue G. and everybody else who cries. My eyes well up when I am moved too, and it could be anything, like my children singing, or someone telling me something that touches me. I always feel embarrassed though and try to surpress it and never actually let my eyes overflow. (I find something terribly interesting on my plate that needs to be pushed around with my fork, or I suddenly just have to get up and pick some invisible dust off the floor, or whatever it is.) I guess it's my 12th house Moon that likes its privacy, I don't really know, but maybe I should just let if flow...BTW, Susan Sontag, who passed away recently, a great American writer and intellectual who was indredibly cerebral also was very emotional. Often when she got passionate talking about something, she had tears in her eyes. IP: Logged |

I don't cry often. The 12th house moon contributes to the lack of crying as well. quote: the joys of walking the earth with bare feet
This hits close to home... my Virgo has done this for twenty years. He's converted me. I had always gardened gloveless and barefoot. So, now I walk my dog barefoot once a day. (the other one to two times during the day, it would be asking for cut feet!) The power I feel coming up from the earth is amazing, inspiring, powerful. Easiest was to get in touch w/the Earth and the bigger picture. Hard to think through ego when you're a small part of something big. It's better than most self-help books.

This is a lovely thread . . ! When I'm feeling down, there are several things I might do. ~visit a nearby lake and sit on the dock and reflect on my life ~take a long drive by myself/listen to my fav 90's alt. rock ~read old letters/go through old photos ~cry ~eat. I try to avoid this, but sometimes nothing makes ya feel as good. ahh well.. ~watch old movies ~if it's nice out, I like to go for a long jog while listening to crappy techno music. If I'm distressed about a break up, I know there's a peppy "boy,-you-did-me-wrong" techno song to make me feel better. (LOL a little sad, but what can I say). Come on ladies you know what I'm referring to, right? ~Call up an old friend
~Paint. I have no talent whatsoever, but it's soooo healing. Sometimes I'll add words to what I'm painting, maybe favorite song lyrics. That's what can I think of off the top of ym head. Hope everyone's having a peaceful Sunday evening. GLLF ------------------ There are some days when no matter what I say it feels like I'm far away in another country & whoever is doing the translating has had far too much to drink.

Yes this IS a lovely thread!I have two people in my life, friends, who when I feel down will always lift my spirits, one is a cancer female, the other a scorpio male. I think its the watery element..........they look at me, and just .......know. I have started to tell the cancer one how much I love her............as for the scorpio male, that is a different story.........he is lovely but not so open........but I would take a guess that he knows.....he is scorp/scorp/pisces.....now how is that for sensitivity? Love and friendship Sue xx

Aww, Cancer I don't have any taurus in my chart. I'm a cappy, though, so I tend to reflect on life a lot. (maybe too much) Sometimes I wish I could be more happy-go-lucky.
